It is evidence, indeed, but it doesn't prove beyond doubt that they were never released. After all, the multi screens are missing and we know they exist. It's possible that there were more than one phase of releases, and this is just one of the phases. If this is the first phase, then it is possible that the second phase With the multi screens included the missing wide screens. But then if this is a second phase, then it would seem very unlikely that the missing wides were ever released. Unless we find the 'other' leaflet, we will never know.

I remember I won a NOS Mario Juggler from Chizuru for only 305 $! Those were the times... Those were indeed the days! I remember buying 2 x NOS Mario The Juggler for $41 FOR BOTH! I traded one of them and I think I sold the other one for 200 pounds, which seems like a crazy cheap price nowadays! I've said it loads of times before but when you have these games sitting in a box in a dark cupboard it's so easy to be tempted to sell them when you see the crazy prices they can fetch. All you see is a load of money stashed away, you forget how much you love the games. I sold a fair chunk of my collection but I am so glad that I kept some of them. Andy

What an amazing find!!! It would have been great to find this at auction, but to find it out in the wild is truly amazing in this day and age! We'll done! I it were me, I would go back to the seller and ask them where it came from.

I've seen so many games over the years it's hard to be sure, but I reckon I have seen a CGL Judge, at least. Flagman, I'm not so sure.

d**n! Those look amazing. Shame I missed it, Lidl deals are always so short lived. Having said all that, I work for a framing company, and apart from the shelf supports, I could get one of those made for less, using materials my company sells Is it easy/possible to open it to get at the games? If not, then the games may as well be packed away safe from the light, like mine are. You could go one step further and replace the front glass with UV protection glass. It would protect the games. It's not expensive. Andy

Meems, As you've probably gathered by now, this is an incredibly rare item. Only one other is known to exist (to this forum, anyway), and that was snapped up on ebay for a pittance, and then has changed hands a couple of times since. I don't know how many people know the price the game was sold for subsequently, but I would be very surprised if it was less than $2500. Having said that, there are very few collectors with the means and the guts to spend that kind of money on a game, so you'll have to spread the word to maximise the price you achieve. Congratulations for finding it. Would you care to share the story of how you found it? We'll all be very interesed, and jealous Andy

Hi all. Long time, no see. It looks pretty quiet on here It is difficult to pick an overall favourite, because I like different games for different reasons. Bombsweeper, chef and Mickey Mouse/Egg are my favourite to play. I love the design of the book style multi-screens. The most 'pure' Game & watch are probably Fire, Turtle Bridge, well most of the first wide screens! All things considered, and everything combined, I think I like Chef the most. Andy

LOL, I have a very similar recollection from the early 90's as ash. I went in to toys R us and they still had a few G&W, sitting next to the gameboys. The ones I remember for sure are super mario bros and Zelda. I think they also had mario the juggler, but my memory is a little fuzzy. I bought Super Mario Bros because I thought it would have more longevity, gameplay-wise. I still have that one. I paid GBP 14.95 for it. I guess that the mario the Jugglers would have been about the same price. Of course, at that time, I had no idea that they would become collectible, otherwise I would have bought all of them Andy

I have many memories, mostly of playing other kids' games at school. I have a very distinct memory of playing someone else's Donkey Kong Jr in the back of a history class, would have been about 1982. I always wanted one of my own so when my birthday came along, I think this might have been 1983 when I was 13, my parents took me to W H Smith - a book, record and toy store back then - and we looked at all the games on sale. I remember it like it was yesterday - similar memories; shiny games in a tall glass cabinet. I remember playing Parachute and Turtle bridge in the shop. The games were GBP19.99 and my parents didn't think they were good value, and they thought that I would be better off buying something else. In the end, they bought me a CGL Puck Monster game, which ran on batteries and a mains adaptor. It cost GBP24.99 and I still have it All the other games I have bought were from much more recently, I started collecting around 1997/98. Andy

Hi aatifk
It's common knowledge that all supercolours are white underneath their silver paint. So this 'yellow' one is either a true 'white spitball' that has turned yellow in the sun, or a standard silver one that's had it's paint removed and then turned yellow in the sun. Looking at it's poor condition, there's a fair chance that the paint was removed by the same owner who has obviously treated it badly in the past.
In any case, if anyone put their mind to it, they could create a better looking 'white spitball' than the yellow one you have, making it pretty worthless in my opinion.

Why would someone go to the effort of finding another (pretty rare) photo of a punch-out box to put on their auction when they don't even have a box? They wouldn't. Looks like someone shafted you as well.
There are some real C***s out there.

I did report it to ebay via their 'item interference' notification facility. That's all I will say for now as the third party is probably reading this.
I am aware of the saying about 'the dog ate it' which is why I knew the seller was lying. Of course, he didn't even need to say that. As soon as the seller asked to cancel the transaction, I knew what was happening.
It used to be that winning an auction was a binding contract, and refusing to sell an item would get you banned from ebay. Now it's so easy to cancel a deal just on a whim.

So, I was in the right place at the right time and got a BIN on this punch-out for $99: www.ebay.co.uk/itm/130914617479 ;D But that's not the end of the story. The seller sends me an invoice, I pay by paypal and then the next day the seller wants to cancel the transaction, saying his dog has eaten the item. That's a lame excuse if ever I've heard one. We all know what has happened, don't we? Some SCUMBAG has contacted the seller and poached the item off me. So, if anyone shows their new boxed punch out, you know they are a Andy
