My answer will most likely change as I only own ball (reissue) and mario bros multi screen . My favorite atm is Mario bros multiscreen. I love that its an intense single player game due to the many things you have to watch out for and also can function as a fun 2 player game! The "break" screen is also enjoyable to see and I love the book style opening.

Hmmm... hard to narrow down to just the one...
I like Octopus a lot... the graphics are very classic, the risk/reward element to the gameplay and I love how the lives are shown as the 3 divers in the boat... nice touch!

Going by game content only, Gold Cliff and Bomb Sweeper are fun. Also Turtle Bridge. Hard to pick just one.

Hi all. Long time, no see. It looks pretty quiet on here It is difficult to pick an overall favourite, because I like different games for different reasons. Bombsweeper, chef and Mickey Mouse/Egg are my favourite to play. I love the design of the book style multi-screens. The most 'pure' Game & watch are probably Fire, Turtle Bridge, well most of the first wide screens! All things considered, and everything combined, I think I like Chef the most. Andy

Game play wise I think Bomb Sweeper is perhaps the most exciting. Balloon Fight is also very fun. I got Balloon Fight New Wide for my 8th birthday back in 1991.
I remember receiving Life Boat as a christmas gift back in 1989 when I was 6 years old. I remember being quite surprised when I saw the orange box for the first time. i didn't recognize it as a Game & Watch at first because I thought all Multi Screens were shaped like Donkey Kong.
I got Gold Cliff while on a trip to London with my family when I was 7 years old in 1990.
I was told that I could get a Game & Watch when we got to London so I was very excited. While walking in central London my older brother spotted a small gift shop and so the family went into it. In there I saw many Game & Watches sitting in a glass cabinet. I Remember having to choose between Oil Panic or Gold Cliff, but ended up with choosing Gold Cliff which turned out to be a really great game.

Yeah, Gold Cliff is definitely the better game, content-wise, but Oil Panic is much more iconic and recognized as a classic.

Bombsweeper for sure. I got over 3200 on Game A and over 5400 on Game B. It's honestly one of the best puzzle games I've ever played, right up there with Tetris. If Nintendo remade this game for a modern system I'd get it.
Super Mario Bros is a close second, one of my childhood favorites, but I've practically mastered it so it's not as challenging as it was as a child.
Fire is close. Probably my favorite simplistic gameplay game.
