whaouuu very nice box of flagman!!!!!!!! a new game&watch in my collection..... Thanks Greg. The box would be nicer if it was mint, but, hey, when you find a game as unique as that, you can't expect it to also be unused. Nice TF game, and I see you're the one that got that Henkel Parachute game - congrats! Not much known about that one. It's the only one I've ever seen, that's for sure! AC

Aris, the ruler isn't an official Nintendo item so it's obviously out. Congrats about the Henkel parachute Greg! Another nice find! Now, about the French flagman, it gives me an opportunity to say a few things about the list. I think we need to discuss about which items should be included in there. Obviously we can't add everything that seems to be rare. We can't just add any rare french release or any rare blisterpack/carded game or any Nintendo game&watch accessory or whatever. Some CGL or futuretronics games are rare, should we include them as well? And what about videopoche? The list would be endless!! We have to find some way to limit the items in it. Maybe we should avoid regular releases? Or maybe we should include extremely rare items only (items that have appeared 2 or 3 times)? The list is becoming gigantic and it would be impossible to maintain in the future.. Michael

As for the French Flagman box, well, it's definitely rare, but, I see your point about the different written languages on the box (or game for that matter) as well as different release logos on the box. French, Italian, Danish, Swedish, etc... The numbers can definitely get way too high, so, yeah, let's not include them. I think, for the most part, as far as the games themselves are concerned, we should only include games that have special logos/stamps on the games such as: 20,000,000 Green House Vandame Octopus Friweg Helmet Mizuno Vermin Alsthom Atlantique Popeye O Candia Mickey Mouse/Popeye Dove Turtle Bridge Smarties Popeye Ji21 Popeye Bosch Turtle Bridge Campari Mario Bros. Henkel Parachute Petro Lewis Oil Mitsubishi Mario's Cement Factory etc.... We should also include rare versions such as the white SS & CG. Shippers are a bit of an interesting topic. I mean, other than DK3, DKH & Blackjack Shippers, they're all pretty much extremely rare. With a threshold of 10 (per the poll results) you'd have to put every single shipper, other than the aforementioned 3, on this list, b/c I don't we've seen 10 of any shipper besides these 3. If you were to ask my opinion, I'd say leave them off the list, but, that's just my opinion. Same goes with the "Black Vermin" and that DK shop display card. Why don't we just keep it to games themselves? (i.e. no accessories like pouches, wallets, display cards, paperwork, etc.... I think blisters/carded games should be included, but, of course, only if they're sealed. Given their popularity and rarity, PS/NOA games should definitely be there. And while these may be a bit of a hot topic, IMO, OEM Blackjack & DKII should also be there. Well, that's my 2 cents. I'm sure I've left some things out. What do the rest of the collectors think? AC

hi, Aris i love your french box flagman... my opinion, maybe it s better make a topic for rarity item(promotional, white ss,cg...)and an other topic with rare version(pocketsize, noa, shipping box,pouch,blisters,oem.....)one for rare game and other for rare packaging(box, version, shipping,) what is imo??? and for the number appered is really difficult .....because for me for exemple a pokka it s a rare item(500) but i saw just 3 pokka last year(maybe necessarri colone with rarity item and other extremely rare item)..... there is my opinion and relly sorry for my bad english...hope you understand... and Aris you ask me my serial number of my game but where can i post these... best regards. Gregg

Ok, how about including only items that were released in limited numbers? With this rule in mind, shippers and most regular releases are out, same goes for accessories etc.. The black vermin should probably be removed otherwise I will have to add the matey lifeboat as well.. I think we can include blisterpacks/carded games and noa releases since they were released in rather limited numbers but most sealed blisterpacks are extremely rare and I would have to add them all (ok I can leave balloon fight out ). What do you think? Michael

What do you define as 'limited numbers'? We have no idea of the release numbers of these rare items, so it would only be guesswork. In the poll, I voted for 'less than 10' as they can all be considered extremely rare, but I can see that there are far too many items that would fall into that group, and it would be impractical to include them all. I think that we should just decide between us what items merit inclusion on the list, either by rarity or simply interest. In my opinion, blisters and carded games are not interesting (for me, anyway) and would have been produced in fairly large numbers, at least when compared to something like the 'branded' editions (SNCF, Candia, etc).
For me, the most interesting items are the super-rare PS and the branded items. Shippers are also a definite no-no as we know that there would have been tens of thousands of these. Having said that, there's no reason why they can't just stay on the list with the existing statistics that we have.

Hey Mike,
Just a couple of updates for the "Rare item list and collectors who own them":
Keewan no longer owns Punchout. He sold it a few months ago.
Paschalis won one of the Petro-Lewis OP games.

Thanks for the info Aris, I just don't have the time to follow such transactions any more and your help is appreciated.. Btw, should I add Paschalis or not? My guess is that he'll resell it in a couple of weeks or so..

You're welcome MP! Actually Mike, he may have already sold it. I'll check with him and get back to you, but I think you're right, let's leave him off for now. I'm pretty sure Mr. Weiss has the other Petro-Lewis OP, but, I haven't spoken with him in a while, so, I'll check with him as well, and let you know, unless of course, he confirms for himself here. On another note, Shouldn't PS Black Jack be on here? I was looking at the NOA/PS collectors list the other day, and it looks like I'm the only one that has one. I also know that Taki has one, so, that makes two. Northfrost has one as well, so, that would make 3 altogether, with at least one more kicking around (the one Paul used to own). Speaking of Taki, (and I swear to God, I'm not trying to give you more work here Mike....) I was talking with him about a month ago. He has 24 out of the 26 known NOA/PS games, only missing NOA DK3 and NOA DKH. Shouldn't he be in first place on the NOA/PS table instead of me? AC
