Welcome, Chris, and well done for doing your research and advertising your auction here. Unfortunately, though, as Game & Watch go, this one is extremely common, so you're likely to get only about 20 pounds for it. Less if you don't show a photo of the box.

20 quid is more like it. As for the LCD's between tabletops and panoramas, I have never checked, the tabletop looks a bit bigger to me but I would expect they are the same. It would have made sense to make them that way.

You'll be lucky! I've been after one of those for about 5 years! Andy.

Yes, of course it's all right to promote your own auctions.
Kimbo, do the G&W community a favour and tell us what you've got on this forum rather than sell them all on ebay. You'll save yourself all the fees as well!
Andy.

You received some strange advice in that thread, but I would say your values are about right for games with no Battery covers. Snoopy is maybe worth a little more than $50 and MCF a little less. I wonder who the 'roommate' was who sounds like a collector but said there were some of the 'rarest special editions'? They weren't special editions or very rare at all.
Welcome to the forum, I hope you continue to particiapte.

Yeah, but back in the days before I had an egg, I would have snapped that up just so I could 'tick that box' I suppose what it does tell us is that collectors can afford to be choosy nowadays.

Crikey, what is the world coming to? You can't even sell an egg at 36 quid. OK, I know it's got major LCD burn but it's still rare! What does this tell us about the state of the G&W collecting scene? Most collectors can get games so easily and cheaply that everyone has egg already?!

Aris, why couldn't you edit your existing post? That's what we all do when we want to modify our for sale/wants lists.

I think you are allowed to double post in your own sale/wants thread but not double post within 24 hours. Not that it makes much difference, anyway

I have a near mint loose Bombsweeper for sale, 20 quid if you want it. I've also got one or two widescreens you don't have. All cheap. See my website. Andy.

Why don't you post all the large pics on some webspace and then it doesn't matter how many requests there are, you just point them to the webspace.
And before you say 'I don't have any webspace' you could open an account with photobox.co.uk and create a shared album!

Well, don't you have to pay a large fee for using a reserve anyway? I'm sure you used to, and it mostly worked out cheaper to have a bigger opening bid. I don't think I've ever used a reserve, I have big b*lls. p.s. Sorry for the hijack/diversion!

I'm sure there are loads of 'completeitsts' who are still holding on, but not members of this forum. I've not really been looking at ebay, are there other collectors selling up who are not members?
I knew a few other collectors who had the set (well, 59) but I lost touch ages ago, I wonder what happened to their collections sometimes.

Since we're talking about prices I'm sure you've observed that most items' prices have remained steady for a short while now. Only pocketsize game prices have gone up a lot (except the most common ones). I've seen a couple of mickey panoramas end at around $120, flagman at 150 euros, well let's not talk about ball, MIMB wide screen games at around 200 euros (including LR43 batteries) etc. etc. etc. I think the best time to buy is now. Michael You're right, Mike, and definitely not a good time to be selling. Hmm! By the way, this is a major thread hijack but I'm sure 2newbies doesn't mind.
