This often happens, when you quickly scan the forum for a recent date, but don't check the year! ;D

It looks much better now you've toned it down a bit.
Anyway, you don't need to highlight the fact that you're the administrator, we know you're da main man!

Yes, but before his name was in RED and was less obvious, and didn't clash with the BOLD WHITE of Today

Mike, why have you changed your name to yellow text? It makes it much more difficult to see which posts have been modified today, because all you can see is BOLD YELLOW

Are there any restrictions on file size for your custom picture? I've tried to put in a gif which is 9kb (originally 30KB!) but each time I update my profile, I go back in and it's cleared it. No error or explanation. The gif is 98x78 pixels, so less than the recommended maximum. Andy.

Mike, how many connections are allowed before it stops you connecting? I've got a 'too many connections' message a couple of times today and there are only 4 users logged on. Andy.

Brendan, I agree with you in some respect, I don't like reserves, but you're wrong that you will rely on another bidder to meet the reserve. The way I understand it is that if a single bid meets the reserve, the min bid will be hiked up to that point. It's always been that way as far as I know. See the ebay page about reserve pricesAndy

Aah, PS lifeboat, my all time favourite PS design! However, I must resist! Why would you prefer to keep a blisterpacked game over that?! Andy.

Yep, that temptation is ever present. The love of the games is stronger at first, but gives in to the money in the end

I realise my comment was generalization, but Mattijs more or less said it himself. One reason for selling up was that his collection was no longer unique.

Yeah, sorry, I misunderstood your comment. I thought that when you said 'I might be able to help out' you meant 'I might be able to buy it off you' I don't check the collections thread as often as the others, so I must have missed it. About your reasons for selling up, Mattijs, it confirms what I've always said, that a big part of why we collect, and spend increasing amounts doing so, is competition. We want to have a collection as good as or better than someone else, and get all the Kudos that goes with it. As soon as someone else raises the bar, we either have to accept it, spend more money or get out. If you're a competitive person, then this is a very expensive hobby. Andy

Wow, I'm stunned.
It goes to show, though, that you can even get bored of a great PS collection.
I think the key to staying interested is to keep visiting the forum and keep looking at your games once in a while, to remind yourself why you collected them in the first place!
Andy.
p.s. What happened to the fire attack?
