Does the design of the game have to be in good taste? Wilson Hi wilson, As long as it's not discriminating I guess everything is allowed. What exactly do you mean by 'good taste' sAner

;D I'm not that good with fotoshop. I'll only enter the competition, if you're offering your 901S as a price René

I think it's over the top now!
I hope you won't get angry people when the winner is announced, because you have a real price now.
Now it has become a real competition, instead of having fun. A lot of people are still looking for a boxed rainshower.
I think you will also get more members who will enter the competition.
Hope you won't get into trouble.

All forum members will be able to vote for the favourite design. The design with the most votes will win. Simple as that. Fair and square! If there are 8 designs or less we will be able to use a poll. If there are more than 8 designs that enter the competition we will have to do the vote-count manually (every member can just reply to the thread and pick their favourite design). The basic principle is the same though; all the forum members who decide to cast in their vote will eventually decide the winner, not me or Mike or whoever. Regards, sAner

Well Pieter,
You know how people can react, aren't you a lawyer?
Suppose a well known member gets 90% of the votes and only 10 people are voting. I can imagine that some people will get pis*ed off then.
Esp. if you have a price like a boxed rainshower.
Btw: I'm not attacking you or something. I just hope you're not the one who gets all the "hatemail", cause you're the organizer. I like the idea very much, but with this real price it became a real competition and not something funny. Now people really want to win. Not all, but some.

James, this is a wonderful offer! On behalf of everyone, thank you very much!
I'd like to add that the winner of this competition will receive the following title under his username: "Winner of fake g&w comp 2005" in gold letters permanently.
For anyone wishing to participate: entries are open to any member (new or not) and submissions can be made before the 27th of December 00:00 CET in here. There's no need to declare your participation in here. Just submit your design before the deadline.
Your work must be something unique and something we haven't seen before. Entries with photos or graphics which belong to other people will be immediately disqualified.
Best luck to everyone!
Michael

Two more rules to add! 1- After the 27th the voting period will be 2 weeks! Or do you people want a longer/shorter period? The deadline has to be strict however. After a certain period no more votes are allowed. 2- Every member of the forum is allowed to vote, even the participants (even though they will most likely vote for their own design I suppose. If they enter with two designs, this could still be interesting!). sAner Well Pieter, You know how people can react, aren't you a lawyer? I really think you're taking it a bridge too far now. You are underestimating the members of this forum. They won't vote for the most popular member, they will vote for the best design. I am sure about that. Also; we have held a similar competition in the past. And things went perfectly then. And only 10 votes?? I doubt that very much. Hell, we will have more participants than voters then. sAner Ps-And I don't get how being a lawyer has anything to do with it

First off all; I'm not against the competition. Hell, I think it's a fantastic idea. Also the prices are great. A special thanks to James, for giving the boxed rainshower.
What I meant was: You as a lawyer know how people can react from time to time. You must experience that more often then someone else. 2. The other competition was held when the forum had like 50 members who were all contributing. Now the forum has over 260 members and maybe 20 members who are regular contributers (like the guys who already have entered the competition). But what (and lets hope for that) if 100 members entered the competition.
I know for sure that the regular contributors will vote for the design they like best. Of course they will.
But there is a concern that non-regular contributors are looking at it at a different way. That's what I meant.
Now. let us spend no more words about it (or we do it private) and let us concentrate on the competition.
LET THE GAMES BEGIN ;D
