Hiya guys and girls,
Let's have ourselves a good old contest. It has been a while ... I think many of you can not even remember the last contest we held (it was the design for the t-shirts for the g&w meeting in Brussels). Of course we will have some rules. So here we go:
The assignment is to design your non-existing game &watch and upload a photo of that g&w to this thread.
Here are the rules:
First of all the deadline for you to enter the contest is December 27th 2005, 00.00 hrs CET. CET means Central European Time. 00.00 hrs means midnight. So at the end of december 27th (in the night we go to december 28) you have to send in your design(s). Any later than that and you are too late. On december 28 (probably in the evening as I am working that day) I will start the thread and show all the designs and the voting period will start.
1. Everything is allowed. You can really make a g&w and then take a photograph or simply manipulate a photo. The maximum width of a picture is 550 pixels (forum regulations!). Pictures should be in the .jpg or .gif format.
2. It can be a rumored g&w (like a pocketsize Egg, pocketsize Chef, NOA DKIII, Tetris Multiscreen, etc.), but it can aswell be an entirely made up g&w (like Mario Tennis widescreen f.e.).
3. At least 5 participants should join in before we give this contest a go. Less than 5 participants will mean a 'no-go'. edit: the competition is a 'go' as we have at least 6 participants!
4. A maximum of two designs per entry is allowed.
5. Most likely the most real looking design will win, but it's entirely up to the voters to decide what design they like best as there may be many other reasons to vote for a design than it's 'realness'. All forum members will be able to vote eurovision-style after everybody has uploaded their design.
6. It's mandatory for participants to vote otherwise their entries will be disqualified.
7. Participants can not vote for their own design(s)!
8. All votes should be pm-ed to Michael Panayiotakis and me and after the deadline we will announce the winner and the scores. If there's any objection, then we will make all votes public.
9- The voting-period closes exactly one week after December 27th 2005. Votes should therefore be in before January 3rd 2006, 00.00 hours CET. 00.00 hrs means midnight, so on the moment we go from january 3rd to january 4th. The results will be announced on january 4th 2006.
10. Per design there is no limit on the number of pictures you can send.
11. There actually is a prize for the winner, besides eternal fame and glory. Michael has generously offered a loose Manhole Gold and a loose Mario's Cement Factory (see below) and I will hand a loose Mario's Cement Factory Tabletop to the winner (see picture). More importantly James has offered a boxed Rainshower!!
Even if you don't need those games, by all means; join in. For the fun of it!
Michael
I would like to offer one of the items I have kept when I sold the rest of my collection.
So a prize for this competition will be a Boxed Rainshower.
Photos can be found here
It has no instructions but apart from that it is complete.
Good Luck.
Regards
James
Now, don't disappoint me!
Regards,
