Hi,
I was wondering if anyone has done research on the number of Integrated chip versions for each game. For example I have found 6 different chip versions for Helmet alone:
- 5102 - 5105 - 5106 -519B -21XA -21XD
I assume that with so many version, that they were progressively making improvements and fixing bugs as they went along. It is interesting that only the earlier chip versions suffer from the glitch where you can make two men appear at the same time.
I assume that Nintendo must have these records somewhere?

Hello. I haven't researched this in detail, but we've discussed the "ghost" trick for Helmet some years ago here: mpanayiotakis.proboards.com/thread/2583/nintendo-flaws-mistakes-omission-errorsAlso, the Manhole "turbo" trick here: mpanayiotakis.proboards.com/thread/2581/gold-manhole-turbo-trickI'm sure Nintendo must have updated chips to correct these errors, which can only be enjoyed on the earlier versions.
