OK, I wouldn't buy any of those. I'd buy a McLaren F1. I know they no longer make them but I'd rather have one of those than any of the other cars you listed. About as close as you can get to a real F1 car on the road. www.rsportscars.com/eng/cars/mclaren_f1lm.aspBTW, that BBC youtube link has vanished - something to do with BBC copyright!! I'm guessing it was the one where he tested the top speed on the VW track - I saw it last week. Andy.

Hi All, It's been a while since this thread's last update! I don't have my 93 Honda Prelude VTEC anymore as it was broken into/mp3 stolen while it doesn't pass smog (didn't want to spend $$ in fixing driver window/stereo/smog ) so I got $1000 for it from DMV (Dept. of Motor Vehicle)/junkyard...I still have my 86 Toyota Corolla GT-S that needs smog, 89 E30 M3, 95 E36 M3, and got a 06 Honda S2000 back in 07 I haven't got too many G&W items lately other than the DK Jr. shipping box while I've been collecting more Tomy/Tomica cars to my collection and I have 40/+ now ranging from about $2.50 from hk toystores to $30/+ from EBAY! Is there anyone else that also collect Tomy/Tomicas? Kevin

Nice Kevin, I'm looking out for board games I used to play with or wanted but never owned when I was a kid. Do you remember this one? I got it for like 4 pounds or something! They are very cheap and certainly bring back memories! I'm also looking for a nice colour amstrad cpc6128 but this will be harder to find in Ebay due to its weight.. Michael

hi michael!
yes it has...we started with a plastic race track from carrera witch we wanted to optimize so that we have the possibility to make fair professional races...
after more than a year building, optimizing, rebuilding, reoptimizing and spending more than 5000$ we had to give up...plastic race tracks suck..and they ever will...
so we sold all our stuff (for lame 800$, because nobody would pay more even for the brand new stuff).
and then we decided to build this wood track..wich took another 5000$ but this time it rocked! this was the real sh***, its way ahead of everything else we saw before..and it costed about the same!!! unbelievable if you see the difference!
a few specs:
3 x professional power supply (one for each lane) 3 x lanes (22,5 meters each) 1x control unit to hook up a pc and to control the power of each lane and the light barriers for the time measurement 1 unit with 3 relay's to change all 3 power directions so we can race in both directions just by pushing a button
pc with race management software:
- lots of different race modes (qualifying, grand prix, time races, seasons and so on) - database with pictures of all drivers and cars - time measurement (/1000sec.) - starting lights (michelin man) wich can control each light so you can make different patterns of starting lights (a starting light in F1 behaves quite different as a nascar starting light for example.) - you can even see how many miles or how much laps you drove during the year.
the screen during the race shows:
- car and driver pic - lap times - fastest lap - intermediates - top speed - fueltank (if the tank is empty before you reach the "box" its over...your car stands still...!!
if you do a false start , your lane wont get any electricity. (for as long as we decide)
and on and on!
and this for the same amount of money as the plastic trash!!!!!!!
really a big boy toy....and quite fun!

Amazing stuff! It looks great and although I'm not so into small car tracks, I really wish I had the space and money required to own one!! I'm imagining some great afternoons racing the cars with your friends, am I right?
