Ah, that can happen any time Innis! Big cities are a driver's nightmare nowadays! Btw, here's my new Audi A4 1.8T (the photos were taken with my mobile so bear with me  ) : You probably know already what's my favorite colour! Michael

Thanks Innis, I've kept the interior simple since I find all those GPS and trip computer accessories useless but it's luxurious nonetheless! It's very fast (well at least it's the fastest car I've driven) and the good thing is that the turbo is engaged slightly below 2000rpm so you can drive in the city using the 3rd and 4th gear easily! I think this car is value for money. The closest mercedes and bmw (in performance) cost at least 5K euros more! I'm very happy with it!

Nice, Mike. It's more or less the same engine that is used in the TT, so yes, it goes! I had a TT which I've since changed for an A3 1.8T and they are lovely to drive. Looks wise, I prefer the outgoing A4 shape to this one. I think they've gone a little too far on the design. I expect it will grow on me in time. Andy.

You mean the new A4 Andy ? I have to say that I don't like how it looks from the back but I prefer it over the extremely aggressive design of the new BMWs!
I think they haven't released the new A3 with the 1.8T engine have they ? I guess you have the previous model .. ? When I started looking for a new car, I wanted to buy the A3 but I discovered that the 2 liter engine wasn't worth it (slower than this and a lot more tax fees).

I have the older shape A3. You're right, I think they dropped that engine for the new A3. I didn't realise they were still using it for the A4.s Andy.

That's pretty bad Innis, I'm sorry for that. Love the licence plates on that car Server seems pretty slow at this time because I can't see the pictures Michael, but I know the A4 is a great car.

That's pretty bad Innis, I'm sorry for that. Love the licence plates on that car Thanks, Laurens! You can only fit 6 letters on a custom number plate in Victoria; I'm glad you worked it out pulse8

Lol! I don't think they make custom plates here in Greece yet..
Andy, it would be a shame if Audi dropped this engine completely as it's a very good one (and probably greatly tunable due to the turbo  ). I'm not sure about its reliability but I think I should be fine for years to come.

Oh yes, very tuneable! I know you can get microchip kits that increase the power to 500BHP!! Reliability is (or was) sort of an issue. They recalled every engine made before 1999 I think it was, for a problem which caused the engine to just 'die'. Another problem is the 'air mass meter' which controls the flow of air into the turbo. That 'dies' causing erratic performance. I had to have it replaced on the TT, 500 euros. I'd still buy another one, though, I just love audis now. I quite fancy an A8 next

Oh, too big for me! In fact A4 is veeery big unless you have a family with two kids! Why would you want to buy an A8 ?
I think engines before 1999 were different and they had a maximum power of 150bhp if I'm not mistaken.. Anyway, I hope they managed to fix all problems in this new release! 500bhp ? Boy, I would need to refuel the car every few kilometers.. lol! But I think I'll try one of the less powerful kits at some point, a few extra bhps never hurt anybody!

LOL why would I want to buy an A8? Kids! You need the bootspace! OK, I know the A4 has a big boot as well, but I like the look of the A8 and all the luxury/toys. Most of the gadgets that were in the TT will be standard on the A8, like leather, heated seats, etc. I think the 500BHP TT fuel consumption was 1 mile per gallon, which, if my calculations are correct, is 727L/100Km. Basically, it's a dragster!

So, you can drive for about 10km with a full tank in an A4! LOL! I think something less powerful would be fine..
