Surely nobody can be that daft? Are you sure the games had that price to begin with? Maybe he made some sort of arrangement with the buyer and just put the price this low in order to avoid having to pay high eBay fees...

Well he seems to be just that daft! :lipsrsealed: And that it could be some arrangement I seriously doubt since there were more than one buyer. Shame on the BIN user!! He shouldn't have taken advantage of the seller ... sAner They came, they saw, they bought! Good luck for the buyers, too bad for the seller not to look up the market before selling. I would have bought them if I got the chance too, since noone can say no to a bargain!

Aris, I could write a whole page about how counters work and needless to say that counter numbers are far from accurate.. Even so, while you were making the deal it's possible that more people noticed the auction. It doesn't matter anyway.
5 pounds for any boxed game&watch item (even micro vs games) is too cheap! Whenever I put something in Ebay for sale I always look for similar auctions to get an idea of how much I could get. Why list anything for 5 pounds anyway ? It isn't worth the trouble!

This Game and Watch Manhole, mint + box, NH-103 Japan ended @ US $102.50 is pretty good for a New WS Manhole: cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=8259441945The box front that has sun fading problem is probably what hurt the price while the buyer is saving over $100.00 as New WS Manhole usually ends over $200.00! I was making a point ... sAner And the point was? The point was this: loads of people attacked Aris for bidding 40 dollars for a game ... but suddenly the seller of the Lifeboat auction is a 'fool'. I can't see the difference ... Why isn't rob catron a fool then? Why don't we mail the 'foolish' seller of this Lifeboat, tell him about the real value and try and pursuade him to relist??? It's a bit inconsistent ... to say the least. sAner

well, if the 5 pound seller was selling PS games, THEN we would have some whinging! That's what this is really about (Mike touched on it) - the fact that pocketsize games (the rare ones) almost never make it to the end of the auction period..... (except when they are sold by a known collector). The 5 pound seller certainly appears to be an idiot, but this sort of thing doesn't happen a lot. It's just coincidental that it happened now, right in the middle of our "discussions".
