Aris, Grow up and get a life, Seriously. You cannot compare your Mario Bros and my Blackjack together, Since they were under completely different circumstances.
Once the Blackjack had intrest from another bidder, I requested that the seller disregard my request for a BIN and continue the auction normally. She then, without warning, sent me two messages a few hours later requesting me to purchase it. I paid a fair price for it, Which the seller set and not myself, Opposed to the ridiculous $40 offer you made. That was simply the luck of the draw.
I am a collector, and you are a reseller. I have seen time and time again you trying to obtain carded/sealed games for a tiny BIN cost, and reselling for hundreds of dollars profit.
Yes, I know we said enough already, but, for one, Pieter has asked a valid question, so I will answer him. Two, by answering Pieter, I will also be able to address some obvious misconceptions certain people seem to have about me. And, in order to answer him, I need to deal with someone I overlooked when I was responding to everyone else's barrage of accusations.
Pat, not sure if you're a male or female, but no matter, you, of all people should be the last to open that big trap of yours! You are in no position to 'shame, shame' me on ending an auction via BIN since you yourself did this just over a month ago!
Firstly, there was never any interest from other bidders for the game I won, since the BIN was added and accepted before anyone else could bid on it. There wasn't any time for other bidders to add bids, as they did in the PS Blackjack auction you won. Whether you asked the seller to withdraw your request or not is irrelevant, as is the amount you paid. (though, both of these claims are conveniently known to only the seller and you).
The part that is relevant, is that you have the cheek to chastise me about something that you, yourself did, what, about a month ago? They're exactly the same thing, so stop trying to find excuses for your behavior by scolding me for doing the same thing.
You contacted the Blackjack seller in the early stages of the auction to try and obtain the game via BIN, so did I! You won the game via BIN! So did I! The only obvious differences are: 1) Your game got shipped to you, mine got re-listed. 2) You purchased a game via BIN while other bids existed on it, I didn't! Oh, and of course, you ran and cried foul to my seller, while I didn't to yours. And yes, we ALL know the seller had a gun to your head, so you were left with no choice, but to scoop it up. Yeah, last time I checked, hypocrisy was not part of the definition of being a collector.
Now, regarding your other false statement that you are a collector, and that I am a reseller. On what grounds do you say this? Numerous people here have commented on you reselling your games all the time and for most of the time, you were happy with the high prices you got. Only in the last round of sales on Ebay did you say that you want to get back what you paid for the games. Hmmm... sounds like reseller talk to me!
In my entire history on eBay, I have flipped two games - DK II in blister pack, and Mario's Cement Factory in blister pack. I sold one other game, Mario Bros. in blister pack, but that was after having kept it among my collection, in excess of one year, and reluctantly had to sell it. So, there's my history, a total of three games sold. Geez, you collectors must have suffered greatly from my plethora of sold games!
And in the short time I have been posting on this fourm, I have won over 30 games from Ebay and they are proudly a part of my humble collection. It would seem that I am more of a collector than you!
Now you, on the other hand, you claim to be a collector, correct? A collector doesn't buy and sell games all the time like you do! You have done this many times, while I, as mentioned above, have not. Even someone like yourself should be able to see that you resell far more than you collect!
As far as the Black Jack scenario is concerned, I was in on that one too, and as a matter of fact, the seller told me YOU offered a BIN price, but someone else emailed her asking her to let the auction run. If you are in fact the collector you claim to be, you would have conveyed this to the seller if you really didn't want to continue with YOUR BIN offer. But you didn't, did you? You snapped it up just as quick as I snapped up the PS MB, and then you have the gall to criticize me? I think you're the one who needs to get a life!
Oh, and let's not forget your tactics with the NOA Punch-Out! You basically changed your eBay user-id (BTW, how many do you have now? 2? 3?? or 4??? Hmmm... wonder why someone would need so many eBay IDs?) to xquiz_it and bid on the game to make it appear that there was some heavy-duty shilling going on, in hopes that others wouldn't bid on the game! Clever, but it backfired didn't it? Of course, you then decided to come clean with what you did, only when you found out that your name was revealed to eager collectors who had contacted the seller enquiring about the zero-rated bidder who was winning the auction. (what was it, over $100 with still, 8 days left in the auction?)
I think the one thing I notice here is that some members try to make themselves look better than others by attacking them for the same things they do themselves.
Yeah, I'd say that sums up what most of us would consider 'true collector behaviour'!
Now, instead of trying to make yourself appear to be better than others by falsely attacking their credibility, why don't you take a good long look in the mirror, and try changing something else, other than your eBay ID, loser!
And I don't give a nuts who you know in this forum! Before you accuse me of something, you better do your homework!
Hope that answers your question (the one about whether I'm a reseller or not) sAner!
