Hi I came accross this replacement Name Plate for a DK-52 and was hoping someone could give some background on it. I know you get fake boxes but this is the first time I have ever seen a name plate. I placed it next to my DK-52 and it is not the same quality but very very close. I am trying to trace the plate's history since it is old new stock from the looks of the label. I attached a pic hope it works Johan Attachments:

Great find ! I hope we'll learn more about these items soon. Regarding this one, I'm not sure it's genuine or repro box. What do you think ?

There's nothing about it that should make you think it's fake. Plus it's Squish. Why would anyone make a repro Squish box? Seriously Patrick, if you're thinking of getting that one, go for it! It's authentic. AC

I attached a pic hope it works Johan This is the first I've seen of repro top metal plates! I would have thought they would be quite difficult to reproduce, but, to say they're "very, very close" is somewhat scary! I like the "official" it has with the label on the top of the bag. LOL! Yes, it would be very interesting to find out where you saw that. Keep us posted! AC

Aris : My doubts came from the too perfect state of the box (strange conclusion, I know...). And, I must admit, the zero profile of the seller doesn't help. So thanks for your advice, but sadly I don't have the money for it

The foam tray is also yellowed, typically a repro one.

I came accross this replacement Name Plate for a DK-52 and was hoping someone could give some background on it. I'm not an expert but seems fake to me. With label?? I think I will start buying now everything I can. If people start "fixing" their games with fake metal plates it's going to be impossible to tell the difference watching a photo. I hope the colorful metal plates will not be so easy to fake (Gold Cliff, Life Boat,...). Regards, Pic10F206 - RacerX
