Hey Mike, you just beat me to it! I just had the link copied and ready to paste in your forum. Frances, I didn't know you were blonde! But, since you mentioned it, I'm typing this very slowly for you to read. Just highlight and delete everything after the ...403 number so that it looks like this: cgi.ebay.ca/GAME-WATCH-MARIOS-cement-factory-Avec-une-boite_W0QQitemZ300215132403That's what I do anyway. Nice catch guys! AC

Heeeeee Michael, No double posting please hahahahahahahahaha It doesn't matter which one. Maybe you create a new one, as long as it is cleary visible. Like an early warning system, not only for the members but also for non-members who are just visiting. Frances

Hi Guys,
I don't think this is going to help in the long run. Atm theres not many items and it's fairly easy to track them, as theres only a few people doing it, however once these items start to reappear for the second time, things are going to get out of hand, and I'd allmost expect it to be a common everyday occurance.
IMO the only thing that is going to help is collector awareness, instilling "confidence" in the community and insuring it is known for what it is.

Forgot to mention earlier that all collectors should include hobbymodel and anyone buying-selling these items in their blocked buyers list in Ebay now!! Two reasons for this: let's not give them something to base their copies upon and secondly so that we can put anyone wishing to complete transactions with fake items outside the community. Here's the link: offer.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?BidderBlockLogin&guest=1This is in Ebay UK but the link should be something similar in other Ebay sites.. Michael

One more thing I've done is stating about this matter in my auctions to create awareness. I see that a few more collectors have done the same! I think it would be best if all collectors included the information about fake items in their auctions.

It's a real shame this is finally happening ... I remember we had some heated debates about this subject in the past. It were just manuals then, but we all feared this was about to happen someday. Once these boxes start reappearing and once the quality gets better (so the boxes will be harder to recognise as being copied) things will get really ugly. Can't we inform e-bay or Nintendo? It surely is against the law to copy and sell these boxes! Regards, Pieter

Technically, all the logos, and characters etc are copyrighted, and they are profiting from it, so I dare say that eBay and Nintendo should do somthing about it.
Bottom line is their copying copyrighted material and making a profit.
Somehow I doubt Nintendo has given them written permission.
Mind you if eBay puts the hard word on them, then maybe they will stop saying "fake" or "reproduced" and just list them anyhow? like eBay would have any idea if they did...
nasty stuff....

I've tried emailing Nintendo in the past. I got no response. I've reported almost all fake item auctions to Ebay stuff and they did nothing. I don't think we can expect any help from them.

I see that more and more sellers around the world are selling these boxes and lately noone had the decency to write in their auctions that the boxes are fake. I've sent a message to the buyer of the boxed ball alerting him of this. I hope the deal won't go through.. Michael
