Well, I'm a Pisces, I've known since I was 3 years old since everyone was talking about it. Sorry to spoil your poll (although I voted!) and thread Aris but I don't believe in the zodiac signs at all! They've proven to be totally unreliable for most people and there's no scientific value in them as well.

Arthur, that was great! I plan on travelling to the US some time soon but I can't find the time. I'm sure lots of days are needed otherwise you'll have to spent most of the time in one city and there are a lot of things to see! Unfortunately vacation during summer has to be very limited in my line of work and I don't know if I can pull it off but we will see! Michael

Thanks, I don't own a DSi yet, I've got a DS lite.. I'm not sure if I should buy one, I'm not convinced it's a worthy upgrade..

Hey Shane, it has been discussed before indeed but a few things haven't been clarified yet. Most 1st version and 2nd version boxes have the serial on the inside flap but strangely not all of them. Check my faq for a few pointers (in the box versions section). These serials don't follow a specific pattern last time I checked and we're not sure if every box serial matched the serial number of the game inside.
For collectors they are indeed more collectible but it is extremely difficult to match them with the appropriate game so most collectors don't bother with them. As you can understand this is why matched serial numbers don't affect prices so much. I guess now that a lot of counterfeit boxes are circulating in Ebay, having a box with a serial that matches the serial of the game inside proves its authenticity (for now, since this can be replicated as well)..

Will games for the DSi work for the original DS or DS lite as well? If yes, then someone will find a way to make these games available to the original DS owners as well.. If not, touch luck for us..

Hobbymodel made a lot of fake boxes before deciding to mark them as "not original". There's a possibility that these are still in circulation. Most people who buy such boxes are probably interested in reselling them later on so be very careful!!
I have to agree though that there might be someone else out there creating fake boxes and paperwork and if I could take a guess I'd say he's located in Australia..I've also noticed an increase in loose item prices lately and this is probably why. People are buying them only to store them in fake boxes and resell them..

Michael, is there no PHP help page on the forum ? I know that most PHP forums have some integrated help about the use of the tags. Believe it or not, I just saw this!!! There's no help page that I'm aware of but you can do almost anything with the buttons above your message area when you click "reply". I'll take a look if I can find a decent guide and post it later on.. Michael

What a great forum... I wish you had a proper feedback system so you can actually see positive/negative remarks and who's given them. What do you mean "what a great forum"? If you don't like it, you can always leave. Nobody is forcing you to visit. What feedback system are you referring to? Most forums don't have one unless they were created for the purpose of buying and selling stuff and this isn't one of them. We're here mainly to discuss our hobby, and you've done nothing of the sort so far except the usual "how much would this and that cost" etc. Karma system always works the same way - in each and every forum it's been installed into. No user can see who gave him a positive or negative mark. You're the first user that this has ever happened to and it's probably something you said or caused because everyone in here is a collector and they don't just login to smite someone in order to pass their time.. Yes, they are actually, are you going for Tabletops now Kevin? This flagman is probably the first 2nd edition I see in such a good condition! It will be a great display item! Andrew, fixed your old werdnawee account so you can use that one from now on! Michael

Well, at least hobbymodel listened to us and wrote on the boxes that they are reproductions.. Market would be completely destroyed otherwise.. Anyway, a lot of damage has already been done I'm afraid. Only hardcore collectors look for genuine boxes any more and mediocre boxes have slim chances of fetching a good price in an auction. It's worth mentioning that once upon a time, finding an item with a genuine packet of batteries or genuine paperwork was very hard and people would pay money for them but now nobody cares any more.. Buyers don't really care if these items are authentic or not as long as the boxes look nice..
