Andy, Have you in fact seen the item for real? Things can be done to pics to make any colour seem different. I mean look at what i have done with the colour manipulation with adobe photoshop. As compared to:..... Either it is real blue but manipulated or maybe there is a real green fire. Which do you think is more probable? Wilson

I had already considered the possibility of it being manipulated, Wilson, and I was about to post again but you beat me to it. Of course, someone could just add 'green' in a paint program, but that would affect the rest of the image, unless it was done very well, especially on the front image.
I'll try it on one of mine......
Andy.
Yep, it's a piece of piss to change it without showing any evidence of tampering. Image....Adjustments....Hue/Saturation. Select the blue channel and adjust the hue. Let's have some fun!

Torsten has these photos in his site for some time now. Why do you think a face transplant is impossible Andy ? The serial doesn't correspond to a fire release but it doesn't correspond to anything else either..

It's not a face transplant because the back of the game says FR-27! Wakey, wakey!
Anyway, it's so easy to do using a paint program, see my previous modified post.
Andy.

Andy,
I am kind of hesistant to say that it is a true green fire simply because it took me like 10 secs to do the adjustment. Simply a colour adjustment.
As for the battery cover, it could simply be a different one from rainshower...

A face transplant is indeed out of the question because of the FR-27 on the back and because you said it was on Torstens website, I assumed Torsten saw the real thing and I therefore didn't think of a photoshop manipulation. If we consider that possibility of course everything is possible. Hell; you can make the sun come out at night in PS CS II. Did we ask Torsten whether he saw it for real? sAner

I somehow doubt Torsten would just whack this on his site without thinking about the possibility of it being a forgery. But who knows. Anyway, in the 20 mins or so since my last post I've managed to do these with extreme ease..... Andy. p.s. Eagle eyed viewers will notice some other colours apart from the main metal have changed, like the gay pink shirt that mario is now wearing This is easy to get around, with a couple of minutes more effort.

Andy, I am kind of hesistant to say that it is a true green fire simply because it took me like 10 secs to do the adjustment. Simply a colour adjustment. As for the battery cover, it could simply be a different one from rainshower... Wilson But Wilson, Look at the other parts in your manipulated picture (back to blue). The stand (metal wire) is also discolored and the metal looks blue-ish now. Also the screws look non-realistic and have a blue glare. I agree with you that it could be a photoshopped picture, but if it is, it is a good forgery and will have taken the maker quite a while. But like I wrote: everything is possible in PS CS II! Why aren't you guys all working, anyway? Why aren't you? ;D Btw; I do think the green fire picture look more real than the games you've tampered with. Don't you? Let's just ask Torsten. I will mail him now! Regards, sAner

No, I believe the game is green, but I still think it's a PP-23 Case. Have a close look at the model no. PP-23 looks to have been turned into FR-27, theres a lot of scratching and and model info just does not look right.... the 7 is very flat and hardly there.
Unforchantly the serial number 103.... is in the middle of both Fire and Popeye, so the serial does not help a lot.
I also don't think it's a bad photo, yes, you are correct the back of the game can easily be turned back into blue by adjusting the Hue in photoshop, but this will not work for the front of the game, because when you do, the buttons go orange and all the gfx go the wrong color etc.
(and I know PS..... check my post in the "Fire" thread....)
