Wasn't it the head of FIFA that said it's these mistakes by human error that makes football exciting? As long as they are the result of human error of course.. Because as it has been proven in the past, sometimes they aren't.. And since FIFA seems to be unwilling to do anything about it, that only tells me that these "mistakes" serve a purpose.. Actually it was just for a few hours.. The entire public service sector was on strike yesterday.. Michael

well spain won it and a poor final as well due to foul`s , holland were terrible for it and spain did what they always do . not the greatest world cup i`ve seen and my overall team that should have won it was germany . poor team`s this time round was italy,france ,england .

I think Spain deserved this world cup. They didn't play impressive football of course but world cup winners rarely do. Netherlands had their chances but at this level you have to score at every possible opportunity and they lost two major chances with Robben. Funny that Netherlands was unbeaten till they reached the final.. All in all, a mediocre world cup with no real upsets but I enjoyed it nonetheless! :smile:
