Fantastic fun; visit any place on the planet! Download it here: earth.google.com (Don't ask questions, just do it! ) I've found a heap of places of interest on there. If you put these co-odinates into the search window on the top left, you can see my house -37.8019839235, 145.039171465 Might be fun to list other places of interest in here, too. Discuss... pulse8 EDIT: Woohoo! 1,000 posts in the General Chat forum ;D

David, surely one of your mates has a Win XP disk they can "lend" you pulse8 Haha, I'm graduated as a computer technician so that's not the problem, I just don't like windows xp for my own systems because I find it too slow, but I'll Google earth the program on another computer, thanks for mentioning it, I never saw it before, Greets, David

Yes! This is enormous fun!
I installed it some two weeks ago and spent many hours with it. I can see the buildings where I live and work. The photos for Hong Kong are extremely detailed (though this is not so for all places).
Noone could afford to miss it!

My house can't be seen!! Only visible is the constructions site when they built it.
My house was finished in okt 2003. So it's not so updated...
Still cool though

If you've ever used Keyhole, it's the same thing except that the basic version is free now thanks to Google! Due to the Olympics, high resolution pics of Athens can be found in the program too and you can clearly see all the olympic venues, etc. It's great!

I've had it on my computer for some time now. My house is clearly visible.
It's a lot of fun trying to find things.

This isn't much use unless the place you are looking for has been the subject of a hi-res scan. That, I guess, means major cities. It is a fun toy, though.

It gets updated regularly, but to cover the whole planet could take some time! My house, as you can see, is JUST inside the (relatively) hi-res zone. Many capitals in the US can be seen in 3D, just turn on the 3D Buildings option and look at the city from an angle... Microsoft is creating an edition of their own to rival Google Earth; not nearly as good though at the mo. For a bit of a bubble, try Google Moon, and zoom all the way in ;D pulse8

OK, it's not really visible because it's very low-res but here's my house: 52deg 00'31.09" N, 0deg 29'51.85" W Nearby, here is a clear view of the circular milbrook test track. 52deg 02'43.31"N, 0deg 32'04.03"W
Not as glamorous as spa but I've seen part of the rally world championship there!

It is certainly amazing! But how can you see what the coordinates are the way Innis displayed them? I had no problems whatsoever flying to his house, but I can't find Andy's home or Mikedot.be's home. Can you help?
Later!
Pieter
