Hi,
Does anybody already have the new ds lite, named DSi? If yes, is it any good? Better than the normal ds lite?
It goes on ebay for around 200 euro and supposed to cost around 130 euro when it's in the shops.

As far as I can tell, the only differences are the cameras and the slightly larger screens. The hardware is exactly the same. For me, I don't see the point since I already own a DS lite. Are you thinking of buying one Rene?

Well Michael,
My 2 daughters still have an old style DS (I have a ds lite) and I was thinking to replace the older ones with a ds lite.
There is another plus for the dsi. It can also hold a sd-card. But at this time I do not know if it is still possible to play with a R4DS cartridge.
A down side is, that because of the bigger screen, the battery runs out of power pretty fast.
So, I would like to know what other people think about the DS-i if the own one.

Yeah, the sd card is probably for storing photos, I doubt it can be used for anything else but I might be mistaken. If I didn't have a ds lite I would buy one for sure since I've enjoyed the DS games a lot more than the PSP ones! I'm sure they will release a compatible R4DS cartridge or update the firmware as soon as it's released in shops. I haven't seen it anywhere here yet though.. Michael

Anyone bought the DSi yet? They say it's a bit thinner than the DS lite, is this true? Do you think it's worth it?

I've had the pleasure to play with the dsi this weekend and I must say, it is fantastic. The outer case isn't shiny anymore. The 2 camera's make great pictures and it is very nice to play with these pictures. I don't now what the resolution is though. There's also a wifi connection on board. Surfing the internet wireless is a great gadget. Nintendo has blocked more then 30 million sites, so it is reasonably safe for children. The old R4DS-card doesn't work on the dsi, but there is a R4DSi card out and it works fantastic. The price here in The Netherlands is 25 euro for this card. The sd is extra for music or to safe extra pictures, because you can safe about 300 on the dsi itself.
It's a great new thing from nintendo, but I wouldn't buy one if the old ds lite still works.

I agree, I don't think the new features are reason enough to upgrade. And the gameboy advance cartridge slot is gone which is a shame since I've still got a few games for it. I've bought the Edge card for my ds lite and if there's no way I can make it work in a DSi then I won't be upgrading for sure!
