I noticed there's talk of the PSP in the forums but no talk of the DS Lite, has anyone got one/planning to get one? I have just received mine and i luurvve it! I think Nintendo has always designed the best looking and most innovative handhelds personally (including Game and Watch obvioulsy), and this is no exception! PS - I have the Micro also and that is just a beauty! Richard

It looks really nice, and I had a DS myself until recently, but I prefer the games that are available for the PSP.
What games do you have for the DS Richard? What are your favourites?

It looks great indeed Richard. I own a psp (got it as a present from my gf for my 30th birthday) and I really like the games for the psp (GTA, Lemmings, Burn out Legends). I am sure I would love the games for the DS aswell though.

My brother's got a PSP so i pay it occasionally but i am just hooked on all the Mario series of games At the moment ive got Mario 64, Tony Hawks, Mario and Luigi Partners in Time and Animal Crossing, as i say - the Marios are my favourite! Hah yeah i never really looked at it like that but i guess it does look a but like a mini laptop! Saner, didnt know Lemmings was out for PSP - use to love that game, i'll have to see if its available for DS otherwise persuade my brother to buy it, Burnout was pretty good on the playstation (my bros also) so i'd like to try that too The DS has the touch screen which is cool and hopefully soon i hear there are rumours of a web browser, i already can play videos and music on it Richard

The Nintendo DS has one major drawback compared to the PSP - no memory card slot. You have to purchase a separate cartridge writer to play emulators or other games on the DS. It's a pity because I think Nintendo made a big mistake here. I hoped to see it included with the DS Lite but unfortunately there isn't one in there either.

I was thinking about a DS yet I got a US 20th Anniversary Edition GBA Micro for $76.00 shipped!! I've bought Mario Kart Super Circuit, FF I&II: Dawn Of Souls, Mario & Luigi Superstars, Phantasy Star Collection, etc so far so these RPGs will keep me quite busy for quite a while!! I'll probably buy a PSP next then think about the DS Lite as PSP will mostly go down in price again later this year!!

Michael True but doesnt bother me too much as i prefer just to play games anyway, i do have a "Play Yan" media player which takes SD cards and allows you play movies and listen to music Kevin, I really like the look of the 20th Anni Micro but i got the standard Silver one instead Mario Kart is a good game, i spent hours trying to get a good time on some of the classic circuits from the SNES game Mario & Luigi is great too, i just finished it recently and now im playing the sequel on the DS Richard

Would like to get a DS Lite too ... but is that really reasonable, hum I wonder Indeed, Nintendo seem to enjoy releasing a lot of alternate version or evolution of their products!

I just traded in my nds for a ds-lite, and do not regret it one bit. I just love how the screens are much brighter, and the unit itself is not so clunky. Also, I think it fits more comfortably in your hands.
And yes, at first when I heard that nintendo was releasing a new unit I too was mad, but after I heard all the great improvements they made, I couldn't resist.

Welcome to the forum Roguegirl What games are you playing on the DS at the moment? Well, since I've had my DS my favorite games have been MarioKart and Lego Star Wars (can't wait till the second one comes out in September!) I just finished up with a trip through memory lane by buying the gba of pokemon red, and I can't believe it but all these years later I still remember all the pokemon names...freaky! But currently I'm working on Yoshi Island (If you can't tell already, I'm a sucker for any of the classic games that they bring back out--So much fun to play again after all these years!!).
