Has anybody bought one of these?
I love the way you can control the games, and Wii Sports looks really good fun!
Might be a New Year investment if any shops have them in stock...

Lol Mike, that's a great website! I wonder who will be the first person to sue Nintendo...

Well, there's one company that says Nintendo infringed one of their copyrights.. anyway, this site is fun. I think I'll buy a Wii to test the remote's capabilities.. it seems very interesting!

I have all three consoles and the Wii gets the most playtime out of them all. Wii sports is brilliant. The console is fantastic for the family.
Anyone who is considering buying one, GET ONE NOW!

PS3 hasn't arrived here yet but I already own an xbox360 and it's great! Wii seems to have lower graphics capabilities but it should be more fun. The price here is 250 euros. How much does it go for in other countries ?

Hi All, My brother got a Wii from fds for his xmas gift while he lives with me so I don't have to pick one up myself The retail price in US is $249.99 and it's still hard to find one in stock! I've been playing the sports pack a lot as it's so fun/realistic while I still haven't played Zelda yet!! Kevin

Hello, all
I want to play Wii as well, but nowhere I can find system in shop and floating in Yahoo Japan with extra money... THe retail price is about 215US$ (since Yen is now cheaper).
On the other hand, PS3 can be found in shop... This is also tempting...

My brother just got a Wii with Wii sports and Wii play. Wii sports is indeed fun. The Baseball is a surprise favourite of mine, because it is the most realistic. Obviously you hold the controller as if it was the end of the bat and swing your arms to hit the ball. Just as difficult as in real life Golf's not bad either. On Wii play there are about 8-10 games, with 3 that I thought were pretty good - table hockey which is just like the air-hole hockey you play in arcades, 9-ball pool which is quite realistic although may not have much longevity, and cow racing which is the most silly game but also the most fun. You're sitting on top of a cow and have to race your opponent! You hold the controller sideways like it was a bicycle handlebar, then twist it forward to make cow speed up, twist it back to slow down, tilt it side-to-side to steer and lift it up to jump over fences! Great fun, although I don't think there is enough on that disc to warrant buying it. I hope there are some more games that make imaginitive use of the controllers. Andy

The Wii is selling for £180 in the shops here in the UK although it is difficult to source. If only they could make Table Tennis on the wii with the graphics of the 360, it would be the ultimate!

Strangely there are still many available consoles in local shops here. I'm tempted to buy one just to see what this controller is all about!

If they could make table tennis playable, it would be an improvement! It comes on 'Wii play' and it's so unplayable.... Andy.
