Wow! MDB, that's fast!! I have the Towers of Hanoi game too. It does have certain similarities, but yeah, it is also very different. Glad you enjoyed it. Aris

Aris well ... towers of hanoi have more "frogs" and less "stones" but lots of similarities. Did you know the answer to this riddle (sorry for my bad english, i try to do my best) : There is a rivver. You are on one side carying a wolf, a sheep and a salad. You have to cross the river but the small boat you have could only handle you and one of you pet/salad at one time. The problem is that if you leave them alone, the wolf will eat the sheep or the sheep will eat the salad. whatever the side of the river they are. in which order will you cross the river with your pets/salad Mike

Lol it's impossible to beat that amount of moves for each number of disks it's mathematical... for 8 disks, it will take 255 moves for 9 disks, it will take 511 moves for 10 disks, it will take 1023 moves and so on... for N disks it will take (2^n)-1 moves in addition there is the programmatical and mathematical solution on the page you give me (can't try the java applets as i can't install it on my f**k**g secure work computer). Okay, assuming we don't want the wolf to eat the sheep, and we don't want the sheep to eat the salad, and, that I need to be in the boat at all times, this is pretty straight-forward. There's only one possible first move, so this is what I would do:
1. I would take the sheep first across to the other side, leave the sheep there, and return.
2. At this point, you can take either the wolf or the salad (it doesn't matter) and bring either across. Let's say I took the salad.
3. When I drop off the salad, I must take the sheep back with me otherwise he will eat the salad.
4. When I bring the sheep back, I need to drop him off, pick up the wolf and bring him to the other side where the salad is.
5. After dropping off the wolf, I'll return to pick up the sheep and bring him across the river to join the salad and the wolf.
Is this correct?

I'm obviously one of the people that are stumped by the frogs game, can someone tell us the solution? PM me if you like! Andy edit: I had another go after posting this and completed it within a minute. Dunno how I did it

Anyone wish to share their high scores? So far mine are: 20 calcs: 20 seconds 100 calcs: 1:59 reading aloud: 5.4 syllables Low to high: 54 points Syllable count: 50 sec Head count: 5/5 Triangle math: 1:30 (Just unlocked this today, though) Word memory: 22 words Stroop test: 1:02 (I'm bad at this!) Speed counting: 0:40 but it's so easy to cheat this seems pointless Connect maze: 0:36 Number cruncher:1:18 Andy Some updated scores from me... 20 calcs: 15 seconds 100 calcs: 1:42 - I should be better than this but it's mentally tiring! reading aloud: 5.4 syllables Low to high: 61 points - that was after remembering a 12-number sequence. How on earth do you get 70 points?! Syllable count: 38 sec Head count: 5/5 (4/5 on hard) Triangle math: 31 seconds on easy mode Time Lapse: 1:03 (would have been 43 secs if it didn't mis-read one of my answers!) Voice calculations: 59 secs Word memory: 23 words Stroop test: 0:57 Speed counting: 0:40 but it's so easy to cheat this seems pointless Connect maze: 0:36 Number cruncher:0:56 Mike, how are you doing? You can check your best scores by holding 'select' then tapping' Graph' Andy

Low to high: 61 points - that was after remembering a 12-number sequence. How on earth do you get 70 points?! I've only got 70 points once, but I've also got 69 points. Both times I got everything right first time, including the 12, then got the following 10 and/or 9 combination correct. I'm still trying to get an 'amazing'. 11 secs on the calcs x20 only just merits 'rocket' speed. On Triangle Maths I'm down to 23 secs which is 7 secs inside the 'rocket' speed range and it still isn't 'amazing'. I'll keep trying!

I don't think my scores are publishable at this point mainly because I have a hard time making the DS understand what I'm saying or writing most of the time! I lose a lot of points because of this!

The scores for Low to High must take into account your time as well, then. I usually get 8 correct, maximum 10 and my score varies in the 50's. Andy edit: With the aid of a camera I just got all 10 right (most remembered: 16!!!) and I scored 91 points. No 'Amazing!' though

Andy edit: With the aid of a camera I just got all 10 right (most remembered: 16!!!) and I scored 91 points. No 'Amazing!' though To remember 16 in the time that it gives you would be seriously impressive! The scoring doesn't take into account time, it is just the sum of the numbers you have remembered. I worked mine back, to get 70 I must have done this: 4,5,6,7,8,9,0,9,10,12 Which game do you think you can still make the biggest improvment on Andy?
