Has anyone played this?
It's a great 'game'
It's loads of puzzles designed to stimulate and improve different parts of your brain, to keep it in 'shape'
Sounds boring but it's not. I had more fun playing it than most gameboy games I can remember.
I may have to get a DS lite now.....
Andy

(i'm the one how has the worst results at all memory games) it's a game well designed for the DS...

It is fantastic, having sold my old DS about a year ago I've just bought a black DS Lite with New Super Mario Bros and Brain Training.
What's everyone's best times? I'm ok on the calculations, but appalling at the word memory.

I'm ok on the calculations, but appalling at the word memory. i think it takes me around 20-22 seconds for 20 calculation... Most of the times, it's due to my poor writing but we have a record here mobiles.gx-mod.com/modules/news/article.php?storyid=3664... :lipsrsealed: ...

8 secs! Now that is amazing! Thanks for the link Mike.
I've managed the 20 calcs in 13 secs.
How about the stroop test? That gets frustrating if it doesn't recognise the colours when you say them.

That gets frustrating if it doesn't recognise the colours when you say them. i HATE that test ... the system NEVER hear "jaune" (yellow) when i say it... i have to say it 2 or 3 times... grrr.... thus i never do any test that use voice... anyway my brain age is around 3à -35 years old... i'm 33 that perfect of course if i could train my brain every day my brain would be youger... but i have no time... :shifty:

I can't believe that 8 seconds even though the video looks real. You couldn't even read the questions that quickly!
I find the trick with the colour game is to look at the microphone hole in the middle of the unit. Don't look at the screen or else you'll automatically say the wrong word!
The first time I played it, it misunderstood my pronunciation of 'blue' and I got a brain age of 49! (I'm 36!) But I managed to get it down to 35.
I quite liked the word memory test - you get 3 minutes to memorize 3 pages of random 4 letter words. Then you have to write as many down as you can remember, in 3 minutes. I found the proven method of making a story with the words worked well. I got 13 on my first attempt. It's my brother's game and his record is 5 words.
I really like the 'tap the numbers in order' test (I think it's called 'low to high'. It's really hard but fun!

If you focus in the middle the words become a blur and the colour is all that you take in. 'Low to High' is the name of that game, it is infuriating but very good. My sister is unbelievable at the Word Memory, her record is 25/30. I'm definitely more in your league Andy!

That's the trick i used too... anyway it's not a trick ... it's common sense... but the DS still DO NOT WAN'T to hear me when i say "Yellow" Low to high is my prefered... but i'm unable to remember the numbers when there are two line of Four numbers... don't know why... my geometrical representation of the numbers do not work in that case... for the word memory ... same problem dure to writing recognition..i have a poor writing... i must have been a doctor in another life....

I had the same problem with it mis-reading my words on the word memory game. I think you may be able to find out how the program recognises letters and numbers, and then you may be able to improve it's recognition of your writing. I'm sure there's loads of info on the net (or even in the manual, LOL) Andy
