This is probably only of use for those in the UK, but I thought it would be relevant to post here as we all get parcels through the door, don't we? =============== The Trading Standards Office are making people aware of the following scam: A card is posted through your door from a company called PDS (Parcel Delivery Service) suggesting that they were unable to deliver a parcel and that you need to contact them on 0906 6611911 (a premium rate number). DO NOT call this number, as this is a mail scam originating from Belize. If you call the number and you start to hear a recorded message you will already have been billed £15 for the phone call. If you do receive a card with these details, then please contact Royal Mail Fraud on 02072396655 or ICSTIS (the premium rate service regulator) at www.icstis.org.uk Andy

Yeah I know of this scam although its only £1.50/min and not £15.
Bloomin thiefs!!!
I got a letter from Barclays the other day asking me to contact them on the emergency number as my card could be at risk. I rang the number on my bank statement and not the one on the letter and Barclays told me that they never sent me the letter. Another bloody scam!!

I think this type of scam will soon reach other countries as well so thank you Andy. Never phone numbers that you don't know. It's not just the charge per minute, it's also that they may deceive you into giving them details about your bank accounts or credit cards!
