I have been a "new member" for a few years now. How long until I get to be a "regular" member of the forum?

I think it has to do with the number of posts you have made. Mike will confirm.
edit: Yes, I think you will become a 'Junior member' once you have made 50 posts. Then a 'full member' at 100, then a 'senior member' at 250, I think.
To see what I mean, click the 'Total members' on the home page and then click 'view top posters' and you will see the list of highest posters and how the member type changes.

Yes, the status changes when the number of posts reaches a certain point.
50 posts - Junior member 100 posts - Full member 250 posts - Senior member 1000 posts - Distinctive member

Andy Interesting stuff .. I didn't look there for a while. I am still the number two poster ... And unfortunately we only have 8 members with more than a 1000 posts behind their name and the 3 moderators and the administrator are amongst those 8. Regards, sAner

It's not easy to create 1000 posts Pieter! Statistically, to accomplish that you have to be an active poster for at least 2-3 years! And considering the rather limited object of this forum, it's very very difficult!
