What gives with the new karma wording, Bless or Curse!! Man that's a bit strong, wishing a curse on someone? Maybe Naughty or Nice would be better?

Karma is a strong thing and should be used rarely. That's why I think these words are exactly what is needed. After all, people use karma when they feel strong emotions about someone (good or bad that is).

Or, perhaps some people didn't understand the meaning of the terms Exalt or Smite! After all, they are a little biblical!
I must say, I don't like the fact the karma points have changed from numbers to blobs. Now it will take a few points to add or remove a blob. Before you could see when someone's status had changed point by point.
Are these blobs up to a maximum number? and are everyone's 'blobs' shown relative to the highest karma (i.e. Mike's 6 blobs) or just 1 blob = 5 points?
Andy.

Well, the problem is exactly that Andy. You can see what's happening to your karma point by point. And that had to change so no reactions can be drawn from karma number fluctuations. Each rectangle corresponds to a certain amount of karma points and there's no limit to how many you can have.
Karma was never meant to be represented by points and I think that was a mistake on the programmer's part. When I first saw karma in other boards it was presented like it is now and I thought that it was efficient. Karma status will now change only when many people agree on it.

btw ... you can still see the karma points of a specific person after you blessed or cursed him.

It's visible all the time in their profile.

Exactly! So what is the problem exactly?

Well, as English is not my first language I didn't find them too harsh at first, I just found them more understandable than the other words (Smithe and ...). Now I thought about it I can understand that cursing is very strong for native English speakers. Maybe you could change it into let's say 'positive' and 'negative' or 'good' and 'bad'.

I think positive or negative is better. Curse basically means F*U*C*K someone up bad!!

Positive and negative are rather neutral terms Paul - I need something stronger.. I'll keep Bless anyway, I need something to replace curse..
Btw, "Curse" was suggested by the script programmer, and he's english-speaking..

How about condemn or denounce? Neither are that strong compared to curse.
