I guess nothing can be done Mike, but have you noticed have sometimes the board shows the wrong persons name as the last post on the main sections on the right hand side of the home page!

I guess nothing can be done Mike, but have you noticed have sometimes the board shows the wrong persons name as the last post on the main sections on the right hand side of the home page! I have an explanation for that Paul. F.e. when I reply to this post and then delete the post after I posted it first, then my the nick "sAner" will show as the last poster but in fact you are the last visible one. Do you get it or am I a bad teacher? You can also use this deleting as a trick to bring a thread up in the threadlist, without crossing the doubleposting rule. Let's say a thread you want up in the list is actually very low (or even on the 2nd page) because noone is replying and you want the attention on this thread anyway, but you can't put in a new post as the last post is already yours, then you can place a post and then delete it immediately. The post is on the highest ranking again, the wrong username is on the right hand side, but you didn't break the rules ... you just bend them. But I am sure Mike doesn't want you to bend the rules nor do I. So DON'T do that. sAner

Pieter gave one explanation about it. The truth is that proboards is a bit buggy but as long as it works as it should we shouldn't complain (after all it's free!) Pieter, what you suggested is a nice way to bump up threads but it is annoying, isn't it ? Because you'll keep checking threads with no real new messages in them.. Michael

Michael Hey Mike, I completely agree with you ! ... I was only kidding and I do not want to see threads up in the list with no real new messages. If you want to delete that part of my message, by all means do it. Cheers, sAner

I was on the other night (my time, of course ) and noticed that a username was listed twice as being online I don't think it's possible to have two users with the same name is it? pulse8

Hmm.. interesting question. I think it's possible because the username you go by here can be different than the one you use to login. For example, I login as administrator while you all see me as "mpanayiotakis". If you check your profile you'll see that you can change the displayed username! So, if you use two different email addresses to register here, you can alter the displayed username for both users and it can be the same.. I'm not sure if the board will allow you to do it though - I've never checked it, this is just a hypothesis. I think it's time to mention that you're not allowed to create double logins in this board - if you do it, you'll be banned and I do check usernames and emails often.Of course, it could all be another bug of the board for all I know..
