Any body interested in buying some Super Mario Bros widescreen games with original shipping box?
I dont have them myself, but I do have the source. I dont want to buy them all, so perhaps someone would share the cost with me. I will let you know the price if you PM me and you can tell me if it is actually worth it.......

I am bloody furious! I decided to buy 2 of these OEM boxes from this guy "Tom". Described as "Factory New", $35 a piece, not too bad at all. Or so I thought... The games arrived today. They came in a cardboard box with the OEM game boxes placed on top of each other in the bottom of the cardboard box with about 2 pieces of screwed up newspaper loosely thrown on top for "protection". That was the least of my concern. The first game box I took out was COMPLETELY WATER DAMAGED - the game itself seems ok, works. This was not due to the way they were packed; it was like this BEFORE it was sent! The second box had some mild water damage to the side and scratches on the raised white section of the game. Only one game came with battery stickers and one of the multiscreen foams were damaged. Hardly "Factory New", as it states on his site. I thought the OEM packages contained pretty much everything the "retail" boxes had (minus instructions, correct me if I'm wrong). I guess I will keep the bags and batteries for my own games and sell the loose games on eBay. Nothing else I can do I guess. I regret the hell out of this transaction. This is a warning to those (if it's not too late already) to steer clear of this dodgy, dodgy seller. pulse8

Sorry about that. I will have to wait until the end of July to see what mine look like. If they are no good, I will be requesting a refund through paypal.
I dont know if the guy still has them. If you want his email, PM me.
Pulse8: What did he say about all that?

He said: "You've got to expect that for games that are over 15 years old. I can offer you a refund minus postage..." Which to me = double postage. It's going to be more beneficial for me to keep a few bits and pieces and sell the rest. Anyone need a loose SMB? pulse8

OK here's some extra info for those still thinking of buying "Factory New" stock from "Tom". The first pic is one box that just has a splash mark on the side, the second and third pics are of the box that is, well, rooted. Thanks to Fox for hosting these pics for me pulse8

The splash mark on the side is also from natural carbonisation. The storage condition was not very good.

Personally I dont see the point in collecting the OEM boxes... I mean look at it (them), it's just a 100% plain cardboard box. Looks like someone wipped it up in creative art time.... at least witht the YM-901 which was not publically avaliable it looks "complete" and "retailable".
but then again that's just my opinion.
