It's quite alright Foxy (although I am naturally devastated by this turn of events)  You didn't mention THIS auction which also ended ridiculously low.  Looks like the end of my "99p no reserve auctions" ....  ebay is a little crazy at the moment... Congrats on the Snoopy PS - Top banana.  BTW (for anyone who is interested) - I am getting a quite wonderful collection of mail (verging on "hate" mail) surrounding my recent, more high-profile auctions. Why (non G&W collecting) ebayers can be bothered to write to inform me that the prices I am asking are too high is beyond me! It's not as if any of them (about 5) are remotely interested in making an offer.... |

You didn't mention THIS auction which also ended ridiculously low. Wow, That really is too low!  (I paid about 20GBP more for mine minus batts and with a slightly worse box). Just goes to show that now is definately not the time to sell.. EDIT: Just checked out the bid history on the Snoopy PS - What a snipe that was by Kevin! Right on the end time (Not a single second out). How did you do it? ;D |

I usually bid when there's about 10 seconds left and that came out pretty good last time hehe...I thought you bid might just be a little higher than when it was $410.00 so guess I'll wait for another that comes along! I've spend a bit lately on the DKC and another CS SMB so didn't bid too high on this! I thought there would be others bidding for it too hmm...

Did you try asking him if he would do it Michael? You'd be suprised how many sellers may be able to bend the rules a bit if you are a reputable eBayer.

Mike, did you see that before it ended?
That would be the perfect auction for the 'buddy system' as long as the auction wasn't set to reject bids outside the US.
I guess it must have been, or else someone would have taken a chance and the price would have been higher.
Seriously cheap!

Well yes Andy, in fact I had it in my watch list from the beginning. I never emailed the seller because he's offering some sort of intermediator service for people who want to sell and in 99.9% of similar cases (professional sellers I mean) they never sell abroad.. (believe me Pat, I've tried it lots of times in the past!) Who could I have emailed in the US about this auction ? There's noone available..

For the moment, the "buying buddy" list has only a few collectors listed and Kevin isn't in it.. Now, about Taki, I don't know, I don't know him that well and I couldn't ask such a favor.
