We were discussing how collectors can be more choosy nowadays....
There are no less than 8 'flagman' games on ebay at the moment!
That's got to be a record!

Yes, the availability of all items has gone up a lot! This is understandable of course. Nowadays a collector can easily complete his collection of loose items in a day or two. A boxed collection can also be completed easier than before. MIMB items are as rare as ever though..

Nowadays a collector can easily complete his collection of loose items in a day or two. Yeah, I guess you're right! Wow, what a thought! Andy EDIT: I just looked on ebay and you can currently buy 57/60 games. These games are not on ebay at the moment, unless there are any hidden: Crab grab - I always said this was a rare game ;D Mario the Juggler Crystal screen Balloon Fight. Hence, I shall now put those 3 games I own up for sale. All MIB. The price? 500 quid each. Any takers? ;D I wonder if they'd sell.....

I don't see the first two being a problem and if you're a bit patient you can find a balloon fight crystal for a good price!
Andy, can you estimate how much one needs to complete a loose collection regardless of the condition of the items ?

I did that a few months ago, and the results are hereThat list didn't include BF-803 or YM-801. As I couldn't find BF-803 when I looked again recently, it's still impossible to come to a figure for 60/60. But let's say 100 quid each for those 2 that's 1283 pounds for 59 games. We've seen a few YM-901S recently, I think around the 300 quid mark so we're talking 1500 pounds or there abouts for all 60 games. I don't think that the bottom end of the prices have changed all that much, even back in November '05 when I first did this, a loose flagman could be picked up for 58 quid. More or less the same price today. Andy p.s. If I get the time, I'll refresh that list with a 2006 version, to see if there is a price difference at all.

You would need to have the longest "winning" streak known to man, it get every game for bottom dollar...
I think realistically the price is going to be a little higher for a complete list... particually if you want serial numbers, and a games that is semi cosmetically ok.

Sure, it's not likely that you'll be lucky enough to match all those bottom prices But as for cosmetics, I wasn't interested in the condition of the games when I created that list, as it was just an excercise to see how cheaply you could 'tick the boxes' so to speak. If I do get round to updating the prices, I'll use the same conditions, so as not to upset the comparison, but I'll also note the game's condition. Andy
