I'm sure that whoever still visits regularly has noticed that this forum is extremely quiet lately. I know a few members left after the arguments but why has everyone else stopped posting? Is it purely because we've got nothing to talk about at the moment or have loads more members stopped visiting? In the last week, I think there have only been about 7 or 8 members posting. I notice nobody bothers to post interesting items on ebay lately, is that because we're all bored of the hobby and we've stopped looking? I guess that could be a reason and that may explain the lack of any other new topics. I hope I speak for everyone when I say we would all like to see this forum continue, so if things stay this quiet, it can only cause more members to get bored and stop visiting and the forum will be dead withing a few weeks. Where are the regular members of a month or so ago? What can we do to inject some life back into the forum? Suggestions? Comments? Anyone.........? echo.... echo.... Andy

Well, I can only speak for myself, but I've been fairly busy lately, and there wasn't really a lot of posts I could have replied to anyway. I would have taken part in the contest, but since it took so long to set up I realised I wouldn't have the time for it, so I stopped posting in that thread, too. As for ebay, I deliberately tried to avoid it as far as possible, because it's an awful time killer, and I can't afford that sort of thing at the moment. Sorry.

I agree with you Andy; it has indeed been awfully quiet here. We have experienced quiet periods many times before but nothing remotely like this. I have a feeling the forum is dying and I think that's a shame. People have way too big egos and I think some members aren't posting deliberately because of the troubles we experienced in the recent past. I say; forget about the past, live and let live ... life is too short! I sincerely hope we will be able to resolve our problems.
Regards, sAner

Well, I've been very busy lately and that is one reason why I did not post. The other reason is all the bad speaking lately. I really got tired of it and I like to post in a forum which is 'busy' by adults, not by puberty kids... I still like this forum and the people behind it and I still keep coming back to do a quick look through the posts.

Pieter you know my views and I can only add this in here: this is the result of some people's attitude and nothing else. When I tried to warn you everyone jumped up and argued with me. Well, here are the results.

Hi everybody,
I'm not much of a busy poster, so that's my reason. But I do login every now and then.
So this is a small reply, just to let you guys know that, there are people interested in this forum!
I am thinking of posting a new thread for making wallpapers!
I recently scanned a Safebuster, and it looks stunning on my 15.4 inch laptop!
read ya later!

Hi All, Well, I still post here and there esp. when I win some Very Nice and Rare items as most of my collection is NMIB or NIB so I'm just mainly buying Pocketsize games, shipping boxes, upgrading, and buying misc items like marquees/flyers lately. These Pocketsize items are just bankrupting me while I have 10!! more to go They're as follows: Fire Attack, Manhole, Oil Panic, GreenHouse, Blackjack, Rainshower, Lifeboat, Crab Grab, Punchout!!, and Donkey Kong Hockey-I'm thinking more like 6 as Fire Attack, Rainshower, Punchout!!, and Donkey Kong Hockey are quite IMPOSSIBLE to get unless I'm willing to pay $$$$!!! (maybe 5 if I count lifeboat?!) Kevin

Pieter you know my views and I can only add this in here: this is the result of some people's attitude and nothing else. When I tried to warn you everyone jumped up and argued with me. Well, here are the results. Michael Actually Mike, what you're claiming, is not entirely true. Even the most lovey-dovey of couples have a difference of opinion and argue/debate regularly. Your best friend, your family, you name it, we don't always see eye-to-eye on issues. And as I mentioned in previous posts, with such a diverse group of people existing as members within your forum, you would have to have lived your entire life under a cabbage patch to think that no discord would occur. Granted, there have been some rather sharp-tongued comments exchanged, etc.. and yes, you were very liberal in allowing such verbiage to be exchanged without incident, but in general, the debates merely reflect the diversity of the group. What has happened here, is the 'coming to light' of some members' true colours, as well as their hypocrisy. People have seen what sort of level certain members are willing to stoop to in order to get a game, or even, prevent someone else from getting a game. They have justified it with nicely candy-coated explanations, but, for the most part, this is an astute group of collectors, and obviously, the double-standard and inconsistencies, did not sit well with some people. I don't have to tell you guys that 'Trust' is a big thing in any circle. Friendships don't last where trust is non-existant, neither do relationships, marriages, etc. The trust level in this forum has been damaged, and is in a somewhat precarious position. If you can fix this, then, you may be able to fix the other problem. Ergo, IMO, 'Attitude' is not the problem here, the action of certain individuals, is! How other members reacted to 'this action' in their subsequent posts, compounded the problem. Nothing lasts forever. People grow up, grow out of things, make changes in their lives, assess their accomplishments, change their priorities, etc.... I don't think this forum is dead, but, I would have to agree with Andy and Pieter when they say it's not what it used to be. You're right Pieter, live and let live is the way to go. Some of us can forgive and forget, while others may only be able to forgive, but, not forget. Either way, there's still hope.... Aris

Aris, I'm sorry but you're not even close and I don't want to discuss it any further. Only people who've lived in this community the last 3 years can understand what I'm saying.

Michael MP, How convenient.... Well, everyone's entitled to their opinion, whether they have been here in excess of three years or not. Some people may agree with your side (perhaps those with 3 or more years of tenure) and others may not. Either way, it does not matter to me, I'm just telling you (et al) how I see it. BTW, re: "not even close", I've already received an e-mail telling me I was bang-on with my posted view. I guess I must be closer than you think.... Aris

Well... I've been on a trip to Tibet to find myself. When I found myself I didn't like what I saw, so I went on a diet, took up some sports and cut out the self harming that I was doing. Now I'm 6lbs lighter, the pain has gone from my body (well almost) and I have made a new friend called Hin Ho. He is into game and watch as well and his favourite game is blackjack!!!! He hit his head last year on a mountain climb, so I think this accounts for blackjack being his best game. I also cured my urge to buy lots of g&w just for the instructions or the batteries. I've even managed to sell some stuff, which is rare for me. If you can raed tihs tehn you are vrey claevr ineded and are proably in the top 800 miillon pepole in the wrold. I konw I have dnoe this beofre but the old oens are alawys the best aren't they!!! The good ol day's, do you remember them? Many come, many go, many come back again, many don't, but there is one thing and one thing only... at the end of the day... it goes dark (well unless you live in Greenland that is!)
