Do you know why the monkey in the g&w series is called "Donkey Kong"? Do you know where that name comes from?
Answer: The name "Donkey Kong" was created by Miyamoto as a combination of the word "Kong" from "King Kong" (as you know King Kong is a classic gigantic prehistoric gorilla) and "Donkey", a word which Miyamoto (with his loose understanding of the English language) believed was a general synonym for "stupid". There are also many people who claim the name "Donkey Kong" was the result of a typo on the original cabinet's art work for "Monkey Kong", but this has been denied by Miyamoto and others.

It's locked, hard to see What a coincidence. Yesterday I was wondering about the origin of the name "Donkey Kong" because of the "Dunkey Dong"-case ;D It was only then that the "Donkey" part was notable to me (translation software : Nice explanation
