Question of the day -
We all know Mario the Juggler is the most rare game of the New widescreen series but how rare is it really?
How much do you estimate should a loose but mint (b/c, s/n, etc.) MtJ cost?
I am curious what you think!

can't be more than 70 pounds loose. I paid 150 for a carded version and the boxed one has eluded me for years. I've seen boxed go for between 150 and 300 pounds and is on my wanted list.
Cheers.

I once paid 50 Euro for a carded one and around 60 Euro for a boxed one. But that's long ago, about two years. Now, prices for MTJ seem to be much higher! Don't know why...

I remember someone around two years ago (I think it was Kevin) paying £298 for a MIMB MTJ This game has always been expensive as long as I can remember, on Ebay anyway.
Fuzgi, you got a great deal on that carded example.

Mario The Juggler or any other game for that matter is only worth however much a buyer is willing to pay for it.

wwfcgoober: now, that's an open door! Of course you're right, but with auctions that's always the case. But still, there is something like a "decent" price for every game. We all more or less agreed on the fact that 50 euros for a loose MTJ is cheap, 90 is decent and 125 is expensive. That someone is willing to pay 150 for a loose MTJ or someone else found a MTJ for 25 ... that's something else in my eyes. Southbomb: I hope you didn't mind me copying your "question of the day" - question. I kinda liked the idea. sAner

Hi All,
In regards to "I remember someone around two years ago (I think it was Kevin) paying £298 for a MIMB MTJ", I've paid $79.99 + S&H with BIN from a french seller that sold a bunch of G&W a while back for a LOOSE one (quite Mint except for a different B/C), $50.00 (I think incl. S&H) for another LOOSE one (complete unit and also in NM condition!), around $300? for a BOXED NMIB one from Oliver/a collector in Germany, and $4XX for another BOXED NMIB (could even be NIB) from Hidetoshi/powersellerman.
Kevin
P.S. Loose ones without B/C or S/N would worth (fetch) around $100-$150 US, $150-$200 with everything, and BOXED ones would worth (fetch) $250-$450. I put prices with - since they'll depend on condition while they're prices that I've seen for ended MTJ auctions.

Just wanted to gloat! ;D I have been collecting on Ebay for 15 months now, and this is only about the third "quick" BIN I have been fortunate enough to make. cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3161191667&category=2541&rd=1I don't know why Hidetoshi sold it so cheaply (the pictures look fine even though there are "wounds which are very small" OOh scarey!). Will post again when the item arrives. Anyone else had any good BIN experiences recently?

Hey Jon, Congrats on winning that auction! It really is a very good price. I've actually never got the change to use a BIN option, anyway not that I can remember. I've been collecting (and using e-bay for it) for 13 months now. But then again; until a few weeks ago I was not prepared to spend more than 100 euros on one item (and still I am reluctant to do so!). sAner

Most people don't want to spend too much on these games at first, but then its like a vacuum. You get sucked in and you start to spend alot of money for the games you desire. It is really hard to catch a great deal since alot of collectors are checking every second. You gotta be quick if you want to snag a great BIN deal. I wish you the best of luck! Don't wast all your time looking for these games! Come to my website if you wish to buy a game!(LOL) -Matt

I completely agree with you Southbomb!! When I first started to collect game & watches (in November 2002, so that's 13 months ago), I swore to my girlfriend that 30 euros would be the maximum I would ever spend on a single g&w. In february 2003 I spent 45 euros on a loose RC-04, in september 2003 105 euros on a boxed Crab Grab and now (in december 2003) I would be happy to pay up to 150 euros for a loose Crystal screen. That's the vacuum I am sucked in to ... sAner

It seems like everyone decides to stop collecting these days ... maybe people suffer from a winterdepression??? I respect your decision though innocentdoxterrier! sAner
