Hey all, Thanks for the all of your input! Thanks for so many serials Ruth! It would be great when you could photograph the back of your remaining YM-901s. I can understand why people think/believe there were 11.790 units as the licensecard seems to say that this is game number 316 of 11.790 units. But if the number of entrants is correct, there can never have been 11.790 prizes. Andy is right then, way less than 8282 will be given away as prizes. Interesting stuff!! sAner

hi andy thanks for that. your posting just made me curious to go find my game  here's what i found: and the serial number of my complete set is: 21802243 (so i'm still missing 2 serial numbers to my 7 units...) looks like my card is for C level racing whilst the one mike had was for B level!! and you know that assumption we had about 11790 units of 60th, is it because of mike's card?? cheers ruth

Now we REALLY REALLY need these cards translating! Andy. hi andy, translation below: B Class License Card name: XXXXXX level/time: 3 / 9:37:76 ranking or position: 316 out of 11790 people shop: XXXX (my guess is this refers to the shop the entrants registered their name with) to really get the gist of what's going on, it'd be good to find the promotional leaflet or terms and conditions for this race. but where? hope this helps ruth

P.S. Mike, why do you think it would be easier to fake a flagman? Because the ym901 has a case as well and flagman is a very simple game. Ruth, what do you mean when you say level B and level C racing ? Since you seem to know so much about these stuff, I wanted to ask you, how long have you been collecting ? Oh, and by the way, this ISN'T my card, I don't own one, I think Cedric has posted this. Michael

hi mike
i was just referring to the two different cards shown below, the blue one refers to B Class/Grade whereas my card referred to C Class/Grade. also under the level category, the blue one had level 3 results whilst mine had level 4.
umm... i don't "seem" to know so much about this, just giving a direct translation as per andy's requests. fyi, i started trading/collecting on and off since 2000 but would never claim as an expert as serious collectors like yourself, dev, taki, etc. there's still heaps to learn and i have picked up a lot of knowledge from your forums and from other members  so just purely putting in my 2 cents worth :juggler:
cheers red-buggy
ps: and by the way, have you ever seen a fake flagman?

Michael I can't believe we're still discussing this Do you think that a company that could manufacture an electronic game couldn't make a plastic case? Crikey, even I could make the case at home! And they would already have a head start with the YM901 if they had some YM105 LCD's and boards. Anyway, enough of that! I think there must have been more than one level in which you could enter your score for the competition. If you got within the top XXX times within each class, you won a prize. Like I said before, I think it's highly unlikely all 20072 (11790+8282) entrants won a prize. Ruth's card suggests that at least 6000 entrants in class C did. The card I posted was from Torsten's site, although I think it's also the same one on Mike's FAQ. Andy.

Heya Guys/Gals,
I'm just thinking...from Andy and Ruth's pictures could it be 11,790 games were distributed from Class B and 8,282 Games were distrubuted from Class C?
But, could also be possible that not all 11,790 and 8,282 were given away, so, it's also possible that only a couple of thousand games were given away.
I dunno, just thinking after reading these interesting thread.
Good going guys...want to be updated on this too. It's really interesting!!
