What's happening?
In the last month (roughly), we've seen pocketsize editions of: Mickey & Donald Donkey Kong 2 x 2 Donkey Kong NIB Mario Bros Snoopy Tennis (still running) Donkey Kong Jr Pinball (Auction pulled) With a total final auction value of approximately $3400!
Lets hope some more come out of the woodwork!
Andy.

Andy,
I think that the people who do have these games, just like a while ago with the YM901, noticed that they can be sold for a nice bit of cash......
I hope too that more come out and lower the prices (but i may be simply dreaming since there are still quite a few collectors still willing to spend to get them).

Hush you guys....don't wake up the Devster!
True, pocketsize games just sprung out of the woods the past couple of weeks, unfortunately I didnt win any
Some I didn't even bid on coz of the price. I hope we can still get to see more this week or in the near future.

I think Wilson is right. People who have owned them for years and never really thought about selling now see the high prices they are going for so they want to cash in.
Fingers crossed we get to see some more of the really rare ones; Parachute, Octopus, Fire Attack, Oil Panic.
Now that would be nice.

If collectors have a look on the japan yahoo auction page it seems that there are fewer nice itmes there too.
I do however believe that there are many more MINT ones in Japan and just hope they come out cheap.

Well, pocketsize games appear steadily often in Ebay. The prices have never fallen though (except the price of dk2 I presume) and they probably never will as long as there are at least two collectors interested in these items..

You're right about the prices Mike, of course, I don't expect them to get any cheaper. I wouldn't call this months 8 appearances 'steady' though!

Normally one appears in two, maybe 3 months. Personally, I don't count DK and DK2 as rare, they are quite easy to get. All the others I qualify as rare. Also, don't forget the pinball Jon won recently. The mariobros appeared even twice. At least I was lucky enough to win the pocketsize manhole, but that was before Paul started collecting pocketsize. I got it "only" for 470$...What would you pay now...800$? This brings me to another point: It is said that one reason for pocketsize boxes being collectible is due to their colorful artwork. Common manhole nws editions have the same artwork, same counts for Mario's Cement factory....comments anyone? Mattijs

Hey All, Being one of the crazy multiples G&W collector out there, I've recently bought 2 EXTRA DK II PS (they may come in handy later/might not be AS RARE yet you don't see them too often like the case of NEW Blackjack/DK3/DKH ) I remembered bidding for Snoopy Tennis/Mickey Mouse PS back then and outbidded when I was bidding at ONLY $16X.XX USD ish...arr...wish I had bid $3/400 then....I probably would have won those... Mattijs-don't forget about Blackjack PS (It's so similar to the regular ones hehe...) I remembered Torsten won one for about $150.00 USD...I wasn't too interested so didn't bid too high... Kevin

I remember that because I was the one who was outbidded by Torsten! Anyway, when I wrote that "they appear often" I meant pocketsize games in general, not mickey&donald or other rare ones. I can't remember a month when there were no pocketsize appearances.. Michael
