I don't know if I can believe anything you say, Devster, you're obviously off your flipping head! : Yes, it's high, but as I have said before, if your in it for the long haul, then he will probably be laughing all the way to the bank in 5 years when he has one of the better DK2's I've just about seen. I'm a fairly new collector compared to most of you guys, but one thing I've noticed is, no matter what you pay, given enough time you wont lose, and after my $2000 purchase recently, my new moto is "No guts, no glory" Once these babies hit 30 years old.... man :-) (I'd hate to think of prices in 2030) -B

This sentence is on the brink of being offensive but I'll let it slip. Michael I realised this would be a 'heated' debate , but I didn't mean it to be offensive. I don't see anything offensive about that sentence, though. An earlier post of yours stated that it has been verified by nintendo employees, I was merely asking for the location of any article including that verification, so that I could have a read. Like I said before, and this is for the third time, I'm not saying I think it's a fake, but I am interested in any reading, especially anything official, about it's origin. Andy.

I would say the game would cost much less than the originals because the case is all plastic, all you need is a mould and a sticker for the front. Most of the other games had metal with paint, etc. Much more complicated. Hi Andy, I think we have traded some emails in the past. Just for your information, the YM-901 has a metal plate. ;D

I've just found this quote from Mike on an old thread, he was talking about Rudewheels' multiple NIB rainshower auctions: Has anyone thought about the possibility that these items may be reproductions ? I admit that it crossed my mind. Michael If Mike can consider the possibility that a widely recognised game such as rainshower could be faked, why did I get such a roasting for suggesting the same thing with YM-901? The manufacturing costs would be the same but the chances of getting away with it are far higher with the SMB because most people that buy one have never even seen one, let alone have one to compare it with. Just wanted to get that off my chest... Andy.

Andy, If I remember correctly we were discussing the reproduction of boxes in that period. Some people announced they would copy boxes and instructionsheets, put mint loose games in it and voila. I think Mike was just talking about copying boxes and he never suggested a game itself could be copied/manufacturered. At least, that's what I remember and that would explain why he didn't get roasted. Besides; you attacked the holy grail of the g&w-comunity and Mike said something about an LP-57. ;D Seriously: I really remember he was just talking about boxes. And ... look how they flamed me when I suggested the OEMs could be faked! You're not alone. sAner
