Hey all, This is kind of a general query, I'm hoping someone can help! I just sold a CASIO WESTERN BAR CG-300 to a guy in Taiwan through eBay (I'm trying to get rid of all non-G&W items ). When the checkout was completed, this is the address I am supposed to send it to: ç¿é›…ç¦ å¤§å¯®é„‰å¾Œåº„æ‘ æ°‘æ—è·¯343號 高雄縣 _831 Taiwan 0936251628 My question is, has anyone had this trouble before, or, is there a converter to translate this gobbldigook?? Any comments welcomed! Cheers, pulse8

Hi, I think you better just print out the address in Chinese and scanned it into your computer. Translating Chinese by computers is very inaccurate.

WOW!! I don't feel so alone now ;D Yeah I've emailed him, asking for his address in English. I think I need to add to my eBay disclaimer: I Speak and write ENGLISH ONLY, or something to that effect. *sigh* Might be looking at a new post on "Negative city, here I come"!! Let me know if you have any luck, Pat. pulse8

Maybe we can work out what some of the charactors mean if we combine both addresses? ;D Lets just keep our fingers crossed that they communicate in english and not gobbldigook!

Hey people, if you don't mind me beng in the picture, I can translate Chinese for you if need be or you can ask the seller to e-mail me in Chinese. I have the Chinese start software.
But please don't sell to too many of them at one time or I may charge you a consultation fee ;D

Pulse, Fox,
I will most pleased to help with the Chinese if necessary. I think a Chinese Windows is required to properly read the Chinese. From this person's feedback, I think he has mostly done local transactions before. In any case, Taiwanese should generally be able to communicate in English (or at least writing the address English).

The exact same thing happen to me and it took me over a week until I finally got the item sent. And, I sent the game to him and the package came back. It was really fustrating. I had to resend the package again with another address i was able to get. (It cost me so much $$$) I ended up basicly getting screwed with a negative. And, the negative was in that gobbldigook you have written right there. So basically no one could make it out. Then 1 day later he says I got the game. Thanks. I used a free translater to talk to him, but it was such a pain in A ss. In the end I had to switch Ebay accounts because of that stupid buyer. Can't they just use Yahoo Japan. -Matt

Installing other language packs to windows can help with these issues. The characters will then look "correct" (japaneese symbols etc), You stil wont understand it but all you have to do is print and paste.
It called the global IME, it is intergrated into windows XP+, all you need to do is install the extra languages, for older versions I think you have to download and install manually.

Dont have problems displaying chinese characters in unix/linux browsers. I havent used internet explorer for ages, but you should try another browser. That text you posted however, wasnt even the proper unicode for the chinese. It just showed up as rubbish.
