I recently collaborated with an American who sells video game protectors and convinced him to do three Game & Watch sizes: A (silvers, golds), B (wides, new wides), and C (calendar-type multi screens). I have some for my collection and they look great! They are the best I've seen on the market because the games fit quite snug. If he sells enough of them, he will also make some for book-type multiscreens, and the other sizes. I think people with nice Pocketsize collections could really use these, like Jason, Jarkko, and Kestrel. But they would make any collection shine, because they fit the box snug and show off its natural shape, while also protecting your valuable collection. I'll post some pics later. If you're interested, you can purchase them here: www.retroprotection.com/main.scHe's a great guy and ships internationally. Ash EDIT: Here as some photos of my collection with the protectors. I haven't yet had time to protect all of them.

It looks like the same protective cases that i use for my Pocketsize, they are for sure nice to look at. But the best looking protective boxes in my opinion is those made of plexi glass, the one's Jason use for his collection. Was it Hobbymodel that sold those some years ago ?

Here you can order very classy acrylic display cases. I have some for my higher end NES games. For game & watch, they don't have them as standard, you need to order custom sizes. They can make any size! This company is producing these cases for years, for toys and videogames.

The acryl is very thick and durable and has a snug fit. Cases are relatively expensive, but really worth it. Gives something extra for displaying. Much better than the oversized acrylic cases I have seen for G&W's so far....

In order to convince him to make the other sizes like panos, I need a lot of people here to contact him and show interest and support by buying his products. My collection looks so much better sealed in these cases. I'll add some photos when I get a chance.

Yes, those are very nice, but I'd probably only want one of those for a super rare game, not a collection, just because of the high price for one case. Thanks for the link.

Yes, I remember Hobbymodel. His name is Wichet, I think from Thailand. He used to sell a lot of reproduction boxes and some nice genuine games too. Lost contact with him years ago.

Hey, those make the games look great Ash!
I bought similar recently from Hobbymodel on eBay... he does still list them from time to time but just for Widescreen and Multiscreen (not Lifeboat type).

I received my order of Type A protectors from retroprotection today and can say these are superior to Hobbymodel's... I needed ones for the original games (Ball, Flagman, etc.) and the Gold series which all use the same type.
Retroprotection ones are much easier to fold and get ready for the game, have protective film that you remove yourself meaning the plastic isn't covered in the hairline scratches you can get on this sort of thing and the fit is very good with little extra space.
Dan who runs the site is a pleasure to deal with too... I wish I didn't already have covers for my Widescreen and Multiscreens but look forward to future different sizes if these sell well.... totally recommend the product and the service... somehow he got my parcel to me in 5 days (elapsed including a Sunday!)

Hi cNp, Thank you for the positive feedback about these. I never tried out Hobbymodel's protectors but I've bought other things from him that were of less than desirable quality. Hopefully this will encourage others to buy from Dan to motivate him to make the other shapes. And to those who haven't yet voted, please go to my poll here to choose the protector shape you want the most: mpanayiotakis.proboards.com/thread/2905/which-protective-covers-mostAsh

Not to complain about Hobbymodel's protectors, they are good and I was happy with them... Just Dan's products are superior I think everyone wants the book shaped multi screen protectors ... Maybe the most viable other shape is Panorama as there are 6 in that series so sales might be higher than, say, Super Colour. cNp
