Hi, I am a new collector from Denmark.
I am trying to recollect some of the games I had as a child as well as some others I like.
My first Game and Watch was bought in August 1989 when I was 6 and it was Donkey Kong II. I later got Life Boat for christmas 1989.
I am now very intested in buying Tropical Fish and Rain Shower in boxed condition. If anyone in here wants to sell a unit, I am happy to hear from you.
Kind regards,
Jalen83

That's usually how we get started, memories from childhood. Unfortunately, I don't have the ones you need right now.

I bought Mario The Juggler for money I had saved in 1992. I actually more wanted a Game Boy but could not afford one at the time. I then sold Mario the Juggler along with my other 10-15 games when I was 16 for what amounts to 400 dollars. And now Mario the Juggler sells for about 2000 dollars on Ebay. I feel stupid

I feel stupid Hi Jalen83, Glad you've joined the Forum. If only we all knew that Nintendo G&W would get those sort of prices now, we would have all saved our games from when we were kids. I can still remember going to the toy shop in England in 1987 and buying my 3rd or 4th DK for £18.95. I can't even remember if I threw the box in the bin. But that's hindsight. JB

I can't remember what happened with it, it might have broke. I do know it got a lot of use. The second one I think I lost at School. The third DK I got on one of my Birthdays, I can't remember what happened with that DK. The forth I bought myself with my pocket money when I was a bit older, and I can't recall what I did with that DK. Other G&W's I had were MCF, MB, Panorama DKJR, DK2, GH.

Jalen, I have a boxed Rainshower if you are keen.
My first game & watch was bought for me when I was nine. It was Parachute as I saw everyone got octopus and Fire in class.
During that time, you have to have one or your friends won't lend their game to you. Then some friends brought their Gakken LCD card games and we got the Maths geeks playing their Casio game calculators and I got one too i.e. the "8" game.
And everyone remembers Casio Western Bar because it was so d**n loud, which is probably why I have 2 NOS Western Bar as it grabs everyone's attention all the time.

I also remember Game and Watch being superior to Gakken and other LCD games.
I am bidding on a decent Rain Shower on Ebay right now which ends tomorrow, but otherwise your Rain Shower sounds interesting. I am willing to pay around 300 Euro for a decent boxed version.

Jalen, Check pm.
Actually my class liked Gakken Trojan Horse and Towering Rescue a lot. Then came the Bandai games.
The ones I don't like the most are the Tiger games.
I still have one of my old LCD handheld games i.e. Dwarves and apples. Will try to upload it one of these days.

Sounds like you had a nice collection during your childhood. When I was a kid I had Coleco DKJR Tabletop, Super Mario Bros. New Wide, Popeye Tabletop, and Donkey Kong 3 MVS. I let my nephew hold them for me when I got older because he promised to take excellent care of them. Eventually he lost or broke all of them!

I think I accumulated my collection over a period of 5 or more years, I didn't get them all at the same time. But I did manage to hold on to them all until I moved away from home in my late teens.
