Hi all.. Just found this on ebay.. The pouch holder looks cool.. Is it one of the originals by nintendo? Looks somewhat different.. or perhaps made by some company for these widescreens in Japan? any views?

I think these are non-Nintendo calculator cases, card holders that people use to keep their games.
The official ones come with the Nintendo logo. Please correct me if I am wrong

Must be.. But i amazed how perfectly it fits the game and manual both.. If you see the game, the plastic inside, covers it exactly upto the metal plate.. Plus the red face cover intrigues me more about it.. And again, it comes from Japan.. I am not ruling out the possibility of it being an original.. Still a little more probing has to be done i guess.. G&W always has something new to give..

I have seen several of them in different colors.

Well, I don't know 100% for sure that they are unofficial G&W cases, but one guy who had a green one for his Popeye told me he bought it in the train station back in the 1980s for his game, and that it wasn't a "Nintendo" product. Sorry I can't tell you where to get them. I've only seen 4 or 5 of them through the years so they're not that common.
