I was looking for some information on why a DK Circus and Mickey Pano both exist, but couldn't find much. I find it odd that their model numbers are switched, and that both variations were released in the US. Here is an NOA DK Circus: And I know that the Mickey Pano was sold in North America as well because it seems like most of them on ebay are coming from North America. The sealed ones were most likely sold in Disneyland shops in the 1980s and some department stores. Were the two made because of some sort of licensing issues?

It may be similar to the egg/mickey mouse where one was sold while they sorted out the licensing, then they sold the other (or both).

Wondering if anyone has some info on this. The Pocketsize pamphlet suggests that DK Circus was released in North America first, because Mickey Mouse Pano is not included.

The Pocketsize pamphlet suggests that DK Circus was released in North America first, because Mickey Mouse Pano is not included. That would make perfect sense.
