Hi, I am new in here and have just started my very own collection. I am going for the arduous task of trying to collect all games (near mint/mint in box) and expect it to be a long slow haul. I already own: Donkey Kong, Donkey Kong 2, Donkey Kong JR, Oil Panic, Life boat, Safe Buster and Bomb Sweeper I chose to start with these 7 as I had these as a kid. I also had Egg, Flagman and Popeye but these seem to be a little harder to find.
So Anyways, I am 7 games in and have already outlaid $1200AUD
The question I have (and please let me know if I am out of line asking this, as I am unfamiliar with the etiquite here) For those who have complete sets; How much would you say it has cost you to buy all 60 games?
I am just after a ball park figure, so I know what to expect ;D
At this stage buying absolute bargains is not my primary concern as this is something I want to do and can see it taking many years, however, on the same token... I do not want to blow $30K and have to sell it all in the future for $5-$10K
Like I said, I am new in here and do not know anybody, so if this is a taboo topic or a rude question to ask then I apologize as it is not my intention to offend.

I think it has been discussed before, so it's not a taboo subject. I am a bargain hunter, and I also started collecting before most people on this forum, and got many of my games very cheaply at car boot sales, before ebay was a household name. I spent about 3000 sterling on a collection of all 60 games, about 45 of which were boxed. I know of people who have spent 10 times as much, though, but their collections were near mint throughout.

Well my original collection consisted of 60 boxed near mint/mint boxed items. I'd say that I've paid around 10K euros and that's because I've managed to get some great items for very good prices: boxed mint in mint mickey panorama for $500, boxed crystal screen games for 400 euros each on average, boxed special super mario for 800 euros, all silver games in mint condition for $400 etc. you get the idea. I'm afraid these prices are impossible to find nowadays so I'd say you'd end up paying about 15K euros maybe more.. It's very difficult to determine an exact price..
