Hey all, A few weeks ago I dropped my boxed Squish after taking a photo of it. Luckily the table was underneath and the game only fell like 10 inches down onto the table. Nothing serious was wrong ... one of the corners of the box had a very small dent afterwards. I was so lucky this happened with Squish and not with f.e. a boxed Flagman or something (not that I own one, but still ...). Now I wonder; did any of you ever damage any g&w item (box, game, etc.) by accident? Or are you all a lot more careful than I am? sAner

Pieter, It's funny you say that, but this very morning I was clearing away my collection after taking a photo and I stood on the end of my Boxed Pinball!!!! I had my shoes on aswell!!! Put a crease in the end flap, but I can live with it, lucky I didn't step on the whole thing. Devster

I once had a boxed Oil Panic (thankfully not the NIB one I sold recently!), I put the foam and the game on my desk and I put the outer box on my shelf. I was about to take some photos of the items when for some reason I accidently knocked the foam and game off my desk, thankfully I was quick enough to catch the game but I didn't quite catch the foam and ended up sticking my finger through the bottom of it! I should of let the foam fall to the floor since it is carpet anway ...you don't think about this at the time, your natural reaction is just to catch whatever. QJ

When I was a youngster (when they first came out ), I dropped a friends one from my top bunk (!) where it landed on the corner of my desk (!!), doing the most damage to a Game & Watch that I have ever seen. It went in the bin

If you're still friends (I really doubt it after this incident ;D) you can buy him a replacement now. Can you imagine his surprise if he gets one now ? Michael

When I was young (pre-school kid), I asked my mother to buy game&watch (Donkey Kong, Oil Panic, Green House, Mickey&Donald, Donkey Kong2 and Mario Bros). I was too young to know that the box and instruction (would be) valuable stuffs...I threw every box and instruction to the bin as soon as I got game&watch I started collecting g&w again from 1999, and have never had accidents related to game&watch...I am everytime very careful to treat g&w now. d**n, that box is pretty beat up! You really have to be careful with these items. There's no way to ever get it back the way it used to be I once dropped a loose Popeye TT from the stairs. The mirror survived, but the casing has got a huge crack in it now Also, I almost spilled my drink over a few boxed items yesterday. NEVER leave those G&W's laying around for too long when you've been taken pictures of them! And then there's the case of customs who messed up my MIB MTJ when they decided to check it for drugs/bomb/...? Not my fault, but let's think they also did it by accident Bubblewrap does not help when people start cutting it apart with a knife. Especially not when they proceed to cut while they have already reached the game It has got 2 deep cuts in the top now.
