Hey guys, with many of us living in different parts of the world, I thought it would be interesting to find out how much people pay for gas in our respective areas of residence.
As many of you know, I live in Whitby, Ontario (Canada), approx. 50 kilometers east of Toronto. About 6 months ago, I recall gas prices being $1.40 per liter. There was all sorts of talk about people getting rid of their gas-guzzling honking huge SUVs, and purchasing smaller, more "earth-friendly" vehicles.
Well, as of today, gas prices here in Whitby are $0.81 cents per liter. How much does gas cost where you live?

Prices have gone down abit lately and now we pay about $1.80 per. liter. I live in Norway, an oil producing country, with the worlds most expensive gas prices.

Hi All, I was pumping even $4.87 per gallon for Premium @ Shell as all my cars (E30 M3/E36 M3/S2000) require it while it's now down to even $2.49 so I'm happy Kevin

Hi everyone,
Well here in Australia at its peak (oil price) back in July the average price here in Sydney New South Wales was about $1.65 a litre and this was when the aussie dollar was buying at around 97 us cents.
It was killing me as I have one of those gas guzzling vehicles: 5.7 litre V8 Engine.
As of today the price of the petrol is at around $1.11 a litre even though the aussie dollar is buying at around 0.65 us cents. Having said that the price of the barrel was at $150US Dollars a barrel and now it is at around $59US a barrel- nearly a $100 drop in 4 months! Unbelievable
When I was in greece back in July\August this year i remember the price of petrol was at around $1.30euro on the islands and $1.20 - 25 on the mainland. For those who reside in greece how much has the petrol dropped?

Hi to all. I don't exactly know the prices on the mainland but here at Skiathos island the price during summer was 1.35 Euro per liter. The price now remains the same 1.35 Euro per liter. A drop at the oil prices or any other goods here in Greece is an unknown word

Prices in Greece fluctuate a lot depending on where you live. Here in Athens the prices now are about 90 eurocents per liter and 1.10-1.15 euros for super unleaded fuel. Prices took some time to go down but finally they did a month ago although the price of crude oil have dropped considerably since September! I remember paying 1.45 per liter for super unleaded in the summer. That was the highest price I've ever paid!
$1.80 in Norway? Wow, that's very expensive!!!
