As has been mentioned on another thread, a replacement for the groundbreaking Canon 5D has been long overdue, and finally it is here! Highlight features include: 21.1mp sensor Full 1080HD movie recording and simultaneous still images (WOW!) New DIGIC 4 processor 3" LCD 3.9FPS up to 310 continuous frames Sensor cleaning and all the other things we've come to expect. All sounds very nice but the thing that bugs me is the price! US price: 2699 dollars. Equivalent to 1900 Euros or 1510 GBP. Official Euro Price: 2499 Euros Official Sterling price: 2299 GBP What gives?! Why are UK buyers ripped off all the time?! Brendan, and news on what the Australian retail price will be? Will you get ripped off as well? I certainly won't be forking out that much. Andy.

I think the European and UK prices are really high when you take the US price into consideration! Why is that? I would love to have this camera though!

Not sure of the price in AU, have not bothered to check, the D700 retails for about $3999 or there abouts (3600 if you know where to look), compared to about 2899 retail for US. so thats about 1/3 markup, I'd suspect that would make the canon about the same ish, probably slightly cheaper, 2699USD is likely to transplate to about $3500. The origional 5D retailed for quite a lot over here, like $5k. I think they need to keep the price at about $3k or less to make people in AU want to buy it.
The origional 5D may be the better choice....

Hi,
I need some advice from the pro's in photographie.
I have a sony A200 camera and a canon pixma IP6700D printer. When I see the pics on my computer, they have fantastic colours. When I print the same pics, the colours aren't as bright as on the computer. How can I spice up the colours before printing?
Thanks in advance, René

I'm not a pro but I think I can help a bit. In Paint shop pro there's an option in the Adjust drop-down menu to change the saturation levels. Try the automatic option and play a bit with the settings. Don't overdo it because the printed photo might look unnatural! This is for Paintshop Pro 8 but I'm sure there will be similar menus in newer versions as well.
Most people use Adobe Photoshop so I'm sure you'll get a few tips for this program as well!
