I never finished high school (Yr 10 (Form 4) was as far as I went). I went to work after that in various dead-end jobs, got a truck licence and two variations of forklift licences. After Arnott's biscuit factory closed in Melbourne, I took my $20,000 payout and got myself a career in the Fire Protection industry. I'm just about to commence my final semester at school; I'm doing a Diploma in Fire Technology. Currently I work as a Contracts Administrator, but I think I'd like to get more into doing full-scale fire tests, or, better yet, into the Fire Brigade ;D pulse8

I sell printed music (also called "sheet music"). Have done for 6 years since leaving Music College. Planning first trip to USA in the Spring, and then maybe Australia in the autumn. It's VERY seasonal - I don't work over the summer (Swwweeet) I've learnt that you can't make someone buy something they don't want. Hmm - maybe I should change jobs... I was at school with Chris Martin (lead singer - COLDPLAY). He's successful because of music and I'm not - I'm not bitter though... I have my "game and watch". ;D

Hmm.....
I studied two years of economics then changed to Architecture as my first degree. Graduated from architecture school and learnt that in order to get good marks in archi school, all you need to do is to be able to persuade that a circle / ball is simply a box with lots more edges. Also all architects simply like to BS.
Then changed to study law. Got my law degree and eventually qualified as a lawyer. Learnt that lawyers are another bunch of BSing bunch of people who simply will do almost anything for a buck. Further lawyers will simply manipulate things for their own gain.
Eventually, changed professions again and now work as an investment banker assisting companies list on stock exchanges and raise millions of dollars from unsuspecting suckers. What I have learnt is that investment bankers are also another bunch of BSing professionals but..........
.......the best part of the last job is that ......investment bankers make lots of money! ;D
So my advice to people who are looking for a career....dont do law or architecture and go straight to where the $$$ is.

Coldplay is cool.
The first time i played "Yellow" I was hooked and I couldn't stop playing it over and over again. It was like some 20 years when I first heard "This Charming Man" (The Smiths).
Btw, I dont' think Morrissey or Chris Martin are corrupt, though I know many others are.

Well,
I studied Computing / Com Sci at Uni, completed 2/3 Years before landing a job as a Network Officer at a College, since moved from there, went into retail as a Network Manager for a local computer retailer, then moved back into Education as a Network Manager, Moved up in the department a little to Information Technology Consultant, decided the job sucked, parking was bad, commuting sucked, and went back to being a Network Manager.
I have also on the side written Comercial Games for windows Based PDA's, hence why I own the domain "www.ozcreations.com.au", that still returns me a little money, but not enough to make it worth while, so I stopped making games last year. I had a few write ups etc in some mags, even got a nice 9/10 in one, so I though it better to leave on a high note.
I had to fill the gap, and I thnik thats when I started collecting G&W, and then decided to create Nintendo Thumb....
Where 2 next..... I have no idea.

I've studied in a Business School in France and then got hired by an American consulting firm. I worked in there Paris Office for 7 years. Now I have just been transfered to the London Office in Sept '05. I have climbed the different levels and am now a man-ager (or a kid-ager still ?). I had the opportunity to change clients through 15 different project assignments, so that's pretty cool : changing job without really changing company (or vice-versa) ! ;D Besides, I manage to travel a little too.

Greetings,
I'm a newbie to this forum (first post) but it's great to read all the comments and see all the familiar names (ebay and prior) and the people I have purchased from.
My name is Andrew (no points for guessing that one) and I live in Perth, Western Australia.
My count is 48 loose and 32 boxed. I also collect Vintage Star Wars and G1 Transformers!!! Basically, anything from my childhood.
If I was wealthy, I would open a toy store and put everything I had on display. If I didn't sell anything. I wouldn't care.
Sadly, I am not wealthy. I am an accountant. I have learnt that I shouldn't have studied accounting at Uni.
