No QJ, the problem was that the styrofoam had a large hole underneath the game which one couldn't see in the photos. Since the seller had stated that the foam was in very good condition, I was very disappointed. But this is a totally different matter.
And you ALWAYS have to read between the lines because experienced collectors or sellers are only human and they can do mistakes from time to time. Moreover in Aldrin's auction there was no photo of the foam. I think that experienced collectors/buyers should notice these things because it is so common in game&watch auctions!

Firstly, my apologies for the confusion over the polyfoam with regards to that Mario The Juggler you got. Well, it looks like we have our differences over exactly how experienced sellers/collectors should conduct themselves when selling their wares. So from your view, if an experienced seller is selling a game, let's say, without the battery cover then it's perfectly OK to not mention it?....even though you know full well that a lot of bidders would be very disapointed when they realise it's missing. For my own personal view this is not how I would want to do business. I would prefer to mention the foam is missing rather than risk ruining my reputation as a respected seller/collector. Cheers QJ

I always mention what's included and what's not in my auctions, also. There's no doubt about it, the best thing to do is clearly state what's missing.
I have to admit that I was very disappointed when I won a few items a while back and discovered later that they had no b/c. BUT, while the seller didn't mention that there isn't one, he didn't mention that there is one either! Deliberately or not, it doesn't matter, I should've been more careful and asked about it. You're bidding on the item as the seller describes it, not as you imagine it to be. What I'm trying to say is that before blaming the seller, we should blame ourselves for not being cautious enough.

I don't agree .... by deliberately NOT stating something is missing, the seller is plainly lying in my opinion. But that's just my opinion of course. When you buy a second hand car of internet you may expect that the car does have 4 wheels, right? How would you qualify a seller who sells a car with 3 wheels but "forgot" to mention it in the advertisement? Leaving out the foam of a boxed g&w and not telling about it is the same as selling a car with only 3 wheels or without an egine or something.
