That's what I mean Michael- the RARE games that come ABSOLUTELY MINT "WILLl" continue to demand these very high prices.I'm talking about just your average rare game in average boxed condition. There's always going to be collectors who will fight to the death over MINT 'one offs' (as I mentioned above- RUDEWHEELS is the perfect example),I'm just talking in general.I'm not saying that this LCD failure will happen over night- hell it might not even happen in our childrens childrens life time!,but I am pretty convinced that the day will come at some point. The problem is that I feel that's there's simply not enough time that has gone by for us to predict what lenght the LCD's lifecycle will be.LCD technology in terms of of time is very new & unanswered- unfortunately it is us (or more to the point you guys!) who may bear the brunt of the 'To be or not to be' scenario I've expressed.I don't expect all you guys to sit here and think 'YES- He's right,I better sell up!',but I do believe my argument is valid, and might be something worth considering in the long term. And you were right Michael, this 'IS' one of the reasons why I decided to sell up.As for my Pocketsizes,I've only got 5,so it shouldn't be that hard to palm them off,and even if I can't it's no huge loss- I'll keep them just out of nostalga!
I love these games just as much as you guys- why do you think I keep hanging around here? I haven't even really got any games to consider being a 'Collection'! I do it cause I think they're great! I'm not trying to be the 'Kill Joy' of the G&W community,I'm just trying to use a little realism.
BTW Southbomb- " DON'T SPACE AFTER YOUR PERIODS!"? I'm sorry mate but I've got 'NO IDEA' what your talking about!

;D Haha, Ross ... don't you place a 'space' (hit the spacebar) after a 'period' (a comma (,), a point (.), an exclamationmark (!), a questionmark (?)) in the UK? This is what Southbomb means and apparantly people do space after their periods in the big U S of A. Well,f**kspacesanywayd**nit! sAner

I must admit I didn't know what Southbomb meant either when he was on about 'spacing after the periods' From what I've gathered in the past Americans use the term period as in meaning "end". Next time Ross put d**n spaces after your punctuation marks so the rest of the world can't have a pop at us Limeys ;D ;D ;D QJ

these game prices go up and down so much that who knows. SPACE 6 months ago mickey and donald fetched over £150 but now I can not sell it for under £140. SPACE I have been buying and selling for 8 months and I find the prices are only good if someone wants one. SPACE ebay prices are not real they depend on many factors like how good the sellers feedback and how well they list it and who wants it at the time. SPACE as for the LCD`s if you never use them (not even test) I can not see anything going wrong, LR44`s will not be made forever so you will not be able to prove they work. Thats my view and I dont mean next year I mean in the year 2100. SPACE there will be no more batteries ever made so that means it worth keeping all the dodgy ones too as they will then be all the same. hope there was anoth SPACES in there for you all. By the way HELLO ROSS maybe we could meet in town sometime for a pint I could bring your GW`s back for you to look at

Hahahahaha! Jon, you're a mean little bastard! ;D Everytime I read such a 'nasty' comment made by you, I see that great photo in my mind where you're standing in front that Flagman-sign. Did I ever tell you that was by far the best g&w-related picture I have ever seen? Hahaha! Wicked! sAner

You're too kind Pieter! I just wish I'd been able to take a picture of the sign in daylight. Nasty? Nah, I'm very nice - honest

Hi there my Doggy friend!
Yes I noticed that you'd joined this Forum. It's strange that we've got people from all over the world hanging around here, but you still have people that are within only a stones throw! How's it going then my friend? I see you're still doing plenty of buying and selling! If you want to go out for a drink sometime- sure man just let me know! As for seeing my games again- I'd rather not! I might just have to do a runner with them as I'm beginning to regret selling some of them!

Ross,
I will keep the GOLD ones for ever. I got a manhole as good now so I will always keep all 3.
Also the original wides are staying for now, I only need as new Chef to match the other 5 of the series I have.
these are all I want to keep ( well and the 2 DK`s )
as for the rest a will buy to sell and sell to buy for a long time yet as there is always a new buyer who needs them all ;D
maybe we can meet up sometime to talk about your old games ( I will leave them locked away )
Cheers.

Jon; yeah sure you are! + Anyway, what I like so much about your flagman picture is that it was taken on your honeymoon. Hahaha, the most romantic period of your life ... I imagine you driving the car, suddenly pulling over, running over to the flagmansign and shouting to your wife: "Quick, make a photo!!" ;D My gilfriend (who was then my wife) would have killed me. sAner

Hi All! I can't beleve it! I received a Chef game today: cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=38598&item=3073131246Which has EXACTLY the same problem as sAners! Not to mention the game was missing its serial number although it clearly stated it was there, & the game had literelly HUNDREDS of flea bites on the buttons . Anyway, I'm trying QJ's "lack of power" method on the game to see if i can revive the poor old thing . I've emailed the seller, if he doesn't want to resolve the problem, what would be the next step As i've never had an item with a fault before . Btw, On the Brighter Side, I received the instr. booklet today Lio, Thanks so much ;D Pat.

Just be careful, a seller called Jmack gave me a negative feedback even though I paid promptly after I complained that the entire LCD display flickers on and off, when he said that only ther bottom left hand corner of the LCD is blank but everything else is great. I gave him a neutral feedback yesterday about this. And he gave me a negative. I am pursuing mediation and if he does not answer the e-mails, I will contest him in a fraud case Do you see my position right now? I'm conned and received a negative feedback on top of it.
