Hey Slash, nice collection there! It's really coming along! Can I ask why you have all your games bunched up rather than scattered out so they can be seen? Just wondering... Keep it up man! ;D pulse8

Probably because they wouldn't all fit in the cabinet otherwise!
I'm wondering why he has them in daylight!
It's really nice to see the games all the time but we all know how sunlight can damage the games and the boxes. I'm thinking about starting a small second collection for displaying only. Just cheap games, of course!
Andy.

Really nice stuff, good luck on your way to the golden 60...it's not far away now.
Is it really that bad, the sunlight? I understand you can't put those games in heavy sunlight, that would ruin the colours pretty fast. But what with, which seems to be the case here also, some rather undirect sunlight? I keep my games in the closet, but I'd prefer to keep them in a glass cabinet like Slash's. I would love to admire my collection everyday ;D Now I take a look at it now and then...

Is it really that bad, the sunlight? Yes!! Sunglight is THE number 1 G&W killer. Direct sunlight is of course worse than indirect sunlight but still ... I can't warn enough for sunlight damage! It destroys everything: the colors of the box, the colors of the plasticcasing, it yellows the lightcatchers of pano's and TT's, it shortens the life of liquid crystal DRAMATICALLY! [glow=red,2,300]SUNLIGHT IS A KILLER![/glow] sAner

Yer, the games have indirect sunlight on them, I'm moving house shortly, and the unit is going to be moved into a room where there is even less light.
From what I have seen boxes and games take a number of years in direct sunlight to fade badly, i.e a shop window. Another killer for LCD's is car dash's. Anyhow I'm no expert, but I suspect in low indirect sunlight situations I'd be waiting in the order of 10+ years for somthing to happen, so I'd rather enjoy my collection for a while. I may move the boxes from the cabinet, and just have the games in there when I move.
I knew a guy who worked in a sticker shop once, and they used to coat the stickers with a UV resistant film, fixed the fading problems no worries, so if you want to have your games in a cabinet just get the glass UV treated (i.e buy some cheap car window UV film).
Yes, your quite right, all 60 will not fit in full display mode :-) So evey now and then I rotate them.

Hi "Slash", Your collection is looking very nice so far I noticed that we have similiarities in owning LOOSE (Green?) Judge (I have a Loose Green one!), Lion, Egg, CS Climber, DKC/MM/MBA Panoramas..maybe you have paperwork/boxes for these elsewhere... If not, I'll know who to look out for when bidding on the items required for these to be Boxed! hehe... Kevin

I decided long ago that certain game were just to expensive.
I decided that I would not collect boxed games of the following:
Silvers, golds, Egg, crystals, panos,TT's and ym901.
What I do have boxed out of these has purely been by lucky in trading :-)
(so if someone wants a few boxes..... popeye pano, dk jr pano, fire, vermin etc they are open to negotiation, and the DK JR TT....
