Ok, first please dont laugh at my meagre collection in comparison to a lot of the others here...im working with limited funds!! I am collecting only the Game & Watch LCD games, these are what i played when i was young. I dont have an Egg, i dont have a Vermin, i dont have a Ball. Ive pretty much given up ever owning them cause it looks like ill never afford them. Maybe one day ill find one at a garage sale for $5, you never know...but not in this lifetime on Ebay. For the same reason, boxes really arent an option either. Im going for the best condition loose games i can find. But im proud of what ive got so far, its taken about 2 1/2 years of collecting and im getting there, feeding on the bottom is where its most challenging and sometimes i get lucky Sometimes it takes 3 or 4 versions of a game before i get one thats good enough condition to pass as a "keeper", which is why ive got 4 Fire Attacks there. Occasionally ive been able to snag a box. The boxes sit out of the sun at the end of my bed on a shelf. Ive developed a neat way to pack and carry my games tho, i picked up a neat aluminium case at a market for $10, it used to hold a cutlery set. Its slimmer than most cases like this and they fit so perfect its quite amazing. This way i dont ruin the boxes by opening and closing them every time i want to play the game. I found when they sat in the boxes, i was not inclined to open them, so they didnt get played. But i wanted them protected, which is why i developed the "bubble wrap sleeve". Now i have the best of both worlds, my best games protected from being scratched or damaged, but easy to store, and play. And the games i have without a box dont feel "naked" next to the others, theyre all in the same boat Thanks for taking a look, Blackout1230

Nice, Blackout!! That surely looks good man! The case is brilliant!! Wish I had one! ;D A question: why don't you sell some of your spares? You can use the money you make to spend on other games. I think when you sell three Fire Attacks and two Chefs it should already be possible to pick up a Ball! Good luck with collecting and never give up on trying to get all 60 for decent prices. Just be patient and you will get along just fine. All the best, sAner

Hi Blackout,
Nice spread man and nice storage solution.
Be proud of your collection, it's not all about how big it is (oh er madam!) etc etc.
They look great and if you are happy with them, then that's what counts. Never give up and if it takes another 5 years, so what.
Take it easy,
Paul

wow thanks for your support guys. The case is pretty amazing eh, actually i went back and got a second one for my other games. My main concern also was in case of a fire , i grab the case and im outa there. Also when i went away for 3 weeks recently, i took the case round to my parents and stored it under the stairs (along with a hard drive with a backup of every email ive ever written.) So its really easy to carry them all around, they sit tight in there as the lid literally just holds them down and firm in place in their tight bubble wrap. Lifeboat and Mario Bros are not wrapped redbuggy as im in the process of building them new bubble-wrap cases Theyre quite a different shape to the other games and need a custom size job. Saner, you are right, i will eventually get round to selling off some of the other triples (and quadriples!!). I will keep one spare tho as a "playing version" i think of everything, to take camping, on holidays, to give to other "heavy thumbed-friends" to play, etc and not have to panic so much. I highly recommend it, you get to enjoy the games much more when youre not nervous about damaging or dropping them. And devster, what can i say. What some ppl take 5 years , others do in 5 weeks. Seriously tho, thanks for your kind words, your collection is truely the ultimate envy of everyone on this forum. As i live in Australia, the land of the plentiful "EGGS" im hoping one day ill stumble over one before 5 years is up. Best Regards, Blackout1230

hey another ozzie! oi oi oi ;D with regards to egg, there used to be a seller online about 2 years ago, who kept coming out with egg in C6-7 conditions. i think he/she was from thailand...can't remember, price was reasonable at the time but quality was.... btw, that idea of having a spare for friends to play (rough) is a great idea.. i always worried when others handle my games in a not-so-careful fashion.. anyhow, good luck! cheers red-buggy

Blackout, Hey...just a suggestion for your box....I originally thought of buying a box and putting the loose ones in just like you but had the problem of them shifting around every time i turned the box over or something like that. I there bought some foam (see below) and cut out slots which fit the games exactly. Gives it nice protection too. Wilson

mook that is excellent too!! its really great having them in a case eh. Yours actually looks better probably, im sure each game has its own "home" slot and you can see instantly if one is missing. Is that foam like the foam from a G&W tray? Each of my bubble sleeves has the games booklet tucked in behind the game tho, so i know what the bubble sleeve belongs to when i pull several out at once. And as you can see, its no accident that i have separated the rows by some cardboard which keeps them in thier own position (trial and error), and underneath them all you can also see some black foam which is the spongy type. It squashes down just very slightly when the lid closes, the games sink just a little into it, providing a tight seal for the games to be held in place. So it really is firm and solid when you pick it up...nice collection there mook!

Hey, blackout, nice collection. You've done pretty well to get some golds and silvers, if you are on a tight budget. I have 2 Aluminium cases, very similar, with adjustable dividers, so you can stop the games slipping around. They came from a DIY store, not for storing tools, though because they are padded inside. Like you said, you can pick up your whole collection in one go (except for the tabletops). The cases cost me about 10 pounds each. Andy.

Blackout,
Nice job son ! Boxes aren't the be all and end all. I've got loads of spare items including a few Balls and Vermin's so drop me a mail.
My games are still sat in shoe boxes !
Henry.
